Not really thrilled on MMORPG's that requires pay-to-play, would much rather having it free and having upgrades and other features that you have to pay for within the game. Other than that my thoughts on the game is that it doesn't look really social and if your going to play a mmorpg game(that'll suck the hours out of your life far worse than halo), an actual community is largely recommended. Especially, requiring the pay-to-play I don't think this game is going to attract many, lets see with any beta's or trials they release.

its been out in korea for a year and a half now and there have been betas for the english version for the past few months. apparently people from alot of MMO's are leaving to play one so i dont think a lack of a community would be a problem.

for you wanting free 2 play and pay 2 get upgrades idea.. you could play silkroad. its by far my fav mmo and its free... just the company that runs it sucks so its flooded with bots and costs some extra money to make it easier

Typical that Korea has it out way before us. As for the SilkRoad idea, the game doesn't really attract me from what Ive seen and also the comment about the bots and hacks. What makes you think Aion won't have the same problem? From experience, early releases in Asian countries eventually patch the hacks, but still when the English versions are made they start from the first versions which lack the security updates so its like an reenactment of the problem. Oddly enough, I think its because Asian companies and Global/Europe companies probably buy out and market the game separately.

well joymax (owners of silkroad) is a korean company and thve got all dif version, isro, ksro, jsro, csro, tsro (international, korean, japanese, chinese, taiwan). anyways theyre just a bad company. they know theres bot and they can easily stop them but they dont because it gets the more money. at later levels you basically have to bot because theres so much exp required. i bot overnight and when im not home, then i play myself when i want to. you just gotta deal with the fact that joymax isnt goign to help you much

as for aion, its made by the same people as guild wars and the company is actually english based so i dont think botting will be much of an issue.

back to sro, heres the vid that made me want to play. its from a few years ago when the lvl cap was lower:

after u get over the bots and grinding, its got the most fun PVP and wars
