i have a 9800GT energy efficient. Does energy effiency cause loss of fps because i only get 150 on 1024x768 low

amd dual core 4600+
2.5 gigs ram
windows xp
all settings set to high performance

i get over 150 FPS with a 2.8 single core, 1 gig ram, 40 gig hardrive and 2600 pro 512 mb. So obviously he does not need to get Quad core :-

I have the same card, 1GB, i can play everything high and record. I only have a e6320 DouCore.

i would assume thats the only problem. i have a quad myself which is gud so far

500GB HD
4 GB Ram
Windows XP Sp3

I can record Fraps Fullsize@100fps and wegame HD recorder and get 100fps LOL peen on the top res

Building a computer specifically to play a 6 year old game is retarded, It's beyond me why anybody would want to do that.

yeah, i would get the intel core 2 duo E8400, stock speed is 3.0Ghz.
