5 mins of overtime was really unfair.

Oh well i'm happy for them

Switzerland 1 Spain 0

First time the Swiss have beat them in 18 international games.

I'm shocked. Spain is so stacked that Cesc Fabregas- one of the top 5 players in the Premier League- never set foot on the field. There is no question they are the most talented team in the World Cup, they just didn't execute properly today and they had a defensive lapse that ultimately cost them the game. Their front line didn't show up to play. Villa and Torres both had uncharacteristically bad performances. Xavi was brilliant in the midfield. Spain's midfield is amazing to watch. Switzerland matched up well against Spain's attack and I think Spain will do better against a team that isn't so defensively-minded.

I'm actually happy Spain lost. I mean it was surprising that they were losing, but Switzerland played well. I know enough people that are rooting for Spain, solely because of that exhibition game against Poland. Anyways, Argentina got disssssssss

lol

Spain losing to Switz is a big worry since their probably gonna end up 2nd in their group and going to have to play Brazil after group stage, and the way they played, idk... AND Brazil has a better defense than Switz..

I'm glad they lost though, so glad.

I'd say Switzerland defends better than Brazil. Plus Brazil isn't as defensively-minded as Switzerland, which benefits Spain.

Well, Brazil was never a collective team and play the main parts of their games on individualities, that works almost all the time but when some players aren't on top {like Kaka or Fabiano against North Korea}, it's sure you won't see anything amazing. Coming back to Baddy, Brazil players are 10 times better than Switzerland on individualities but they have to be on equal skillz concerning the collective.

Id rather take Lucio and Maicon over Switz defense any day if I was a coach

yeah, I agree =p.. Our Forwards/ Midfield is what we need for us to win but our defense isn't really good, but they aren't bad.

Yeah, well the coach is a dumb ass for not calling Balotelli/ Materazzi/ Del Piero/ Cassano/ and Matterazi is too old though, and stupid for sending grosso home
