Oh red-i, isn't it funny how Arsenal's reserves are better in the midfield than your United boys? I would laugh so hard if Arsenal won on Sunday. This Udinese game is huge for Arsenal. They need to win this game to attract top quality talent. I'm actually nervous about it. edit: And has anyone been following the obscene spending by Manchester City? They are the new Real Madrid. Bastards. Edited by Sl1cK, Aug 24 2011, 12:21 PM.

Umm, does anyone know why Eto went to that Russian club? i never knew Roberto Carlos still played soccer of any kind, club/international... hes most paid athlete in the world, well past Kobe, Messi, Ronaldo and A-Rod and a F1 Ferrari racer named Alonso. Niggeh is going to be cakin' with 20 million euros per season. The drawback is that, hes playing in a Russian League with a team i ve never heard of, a small club with "big ambitions" is their motive to take over. But, once an athlete is being paid a shit load of money sometimes they tend to decrease the level of play due to their salary thinking that they dont need to try more because they are already getting paid that much (we can prolly see that with eto) edit; its interesting, eto was a great player the year inter went on that run and won the 3 titles like barca did last year. and the guy who owns this club is ranked in the world as the 118th richest man in the world, so he may pull a Real Madrid/ Man City and buy a shit load of support players? mayb thats y their motto is summarizing their "taking over" of the football scene. who knows. Eto went to Russia solely for money.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenhausen/2011/08/21/samuel-etoo-scores-record-new-soccer-contract/ They better hurry to spend, Man City are buying up all of the top players. |

Their oil sheik sugar daddy. It's really hard to add up the absurd amounts of cash they have been throwing around, but last summer they spent at least £65 million on Yaya Toure, Jerome Boateng, and David Silva. £47 for Carlos Tevez. Then there was also a £26m package deal for James Milner. £23m million for Samir Nasri and another £23m for Mario Balotelli. Then they just recently shelled out £39 million for Serio Aguero. edit: Forgot a few, lmao. £17m for Aleksandar Kolarov and £7m for Gael Clichy. edit 2: And £7m for Adam Johnson. £19m for Nigel De Jong. edit 3: £12m for Gareth Barry. edit 4: £22 for Joleon Lescott. £12? for Kolo Toure. Fuck me. And that's just the past two years. This isn't factoring the absurd wages per week City pays their players either. These are just the transfer fees. They are literally buying themselves a title. It's ridiculous. Edited by Sl1cK, Aug 25 2011, 03:10 PM.

they arent really buying top-top tier players; but still all of em together can make a pretty darn good team, but they still have manutd and chelsea in epl, and real and barca in champions to get by. and not to mention other above avg teams(arsenal, bayern, inter, ac etc...) i dont see them getting any title so far. Yaya Toure, Vincent Kompany (signed in 2008 so I didn't include him), David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Samir Nasri etc. are all top players. And the other signings they have made are for really good players. I expect them to do well in the Champions League. I think they are a lot better than Chelsea this year, better than Arsenal, and they will give United a run for their money. If it wasn't for Mancini's failure at coaching English soccer, they would have a title in the bad easily this year. |
