refresh rates are strange on this monitor. halo shows that it can support 120 hz only on 1600x900, but anything lower the max is 75. why is that? if 1600x900 can support 120hz, why cant the lower resolutions do so too?

I still to this day for some reason believe that there is no such thing as reg.. it might be halo's retarded magnetism (or whatevers its called). People I've played with have straight 33 ping and talk of reg like its holding them back a lot. unless its a reallyyyyyy terrible server/player/player's internet there is no such thing as it. it's all in ur head ^_- I think I might be the only one who feels like this here and might get jumped over this because a lot of people "bitch" about reg.

Also, thread = stickied / locked pls
yea, naota always said, its not the reg, its u, as in ur not leading right...but that shit works only to an extent, especially when lead changes for me every second, so its unpredictable...
naota talked about leading?

What monitor is that? Unless you have a really good new lcd monitor its not going to support 120hz.

You should have gotten a 2233rz or the viewsonic 120hz. Much cheaper, same specs, and works flawlessly on every resolution. Is 1600x900 your native resolution?

1920x1080 is the native resolution, and 1600x900 is the highest supported res in halo. i'd really like to know how the only res that supports 120hz is the highest one lol. i went with this monitor because its the widest of the 3d monitors out there.

baddy, you wont find it in a store. if you do the price is usually cut bbecause its a display model.

Do other games allow you to play the same resolutions at 120hz?

how did this thread get hijacked so hard. halo must be really inactive. why didn't you just have this 2 page conversation on xfire ffs?

Good thread, except i found a flaw. If your computer can support it, Vsync > No Vsync on 85hz+. much smoother

Thanks. From my experience no vsync is more responsive. If halo had an option for it Id lock my fps at 125 but without vsync; mouse movement is smoother if fps is static.

For some reason Fraps lets FPS go down waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy (to 20?) when I use No Vsync grrrr

Also.. Is the highest res really 1600x1200? Not that I have such a gud monitor (mine is 1280x1024x75 (NOT 3D DUMBASS)) but you can use the -vidmode parameter.. For example you can put -vidmode 320,240,60 if you really want to hurt yourself XD

Anyone else Xfire? I wanna get in touch with some pplz here :3 play some, etc. =)
