hAlp meh; need tips 4 better gameplay

Posts: 19 Group: Warrior Member #2,265 Joined: August 25, 2010	Heyy every1. So before coming to this site i was really bad at halo. After downgrading my video settings (like the config guide says 2 do) i got much better as the game ran smoother and was less choppy. Im able to lead moderately well on noob servers and where players are of somewhat low or average ability. When i play on the mafia or ioclan servers i get pwned by people who've obviously been playing for a long time. So here is my question. When you play against people who know whats up, what can you do to increase your chanses of getting 3x successful headshots? Also, when is it an ok time to use the assault rifle? Skilled players manage to kill me with it before i can get 3x headshots lol. (ive been playing for 3 months now and i only use the pistol, never get in hogs and try to play correctly. I also use a controller as I play on a macbook and i dont have a mouse. macbooks suck for halo).

Ive been aiming for their head the entire time. Miss - Miss - head - Miss - Miss etc. Does 2x body fully deplete the shields or does it just drop it enough for the final head kill?

bigbadE Posts: 8,186 Group: Old Boys Network Member #101 Joined: March 26, 2008	my xfire is broke as hell so I would try PMing me if you want to get the league unlocked as far as your questions you want to probably avoid using the AR unless you're pocket reloading or need to hit a big object (like a vehicle) alot of times. works well on popped people on small maps too. but seriously get used to the pistol its the end all be all of hpc god i hope this guy isn't a troll or he's getting mad success

Ill try practicing for 2x body and 1x headshots... i watched a few vids and it seemed like thats what people were doing. Does it matter in what order i get the shots in? Will body/head/body = a kill or does it have to be body/body/head in that order?

Also - is my ping the only one that bounces from 67 to 100ish every minute or so? This makes it really hard to play the game lol. Btw i use 19.99/mo version crap dsl and can only get like 30 servers in the multiplayer search. @John. No problem.
