I think this is a good idea, do it. The only problem I foresee is how to place all the random people who log on to play 1 match a month like mech/thorn etc. Naota agrees as well.

this is another thing about this idea. this works well for the people who only come on once a month or so, or even just come on once a week, if there are 30+ people (if there are that many people left) on each team, there will be matches played almost constantly whether its a 2v2 or a 4v4+, so people can just sign on and play right away

Well what I'm saying is that when all the randos who come online once a month show up there will quickly be rosters of over 40 people, with many of them being inactive. The roster sizes will have to be huge to accommodate the randos, and xit.

Answer to all your problems= Give points for playing matches not just for winning.

This will give an incentive to playing more matches and take away the need to only play with trusted good people to win points.

YEA?
?? Doesn't this solve the issue?

Good point. Not like I care about the game or its survival. I've just been playing it competetivly for six fucking years.

If you make the two team league, remove the personal win/loss and points shit. The only thing that matters is if the team wins, no matter who you're playing with. This will induce people to play more with the noobs to help the team's ratio improve, since there's no longer any reason to only play with good players to pat your stats.

no one gives a fuck how long youve been playing for lol, SORRY MAN! that doesnt make your opinion 9 million times better than ours

during your amazing, p33ntastic 6 years of halo, there were also how many more people playing and how many more active teams? personally think you should shut the fuck up if you dont like the idea! i mean right now, in the past couple hours only there have been 27 people that have said yes that they would like this idea. over the next few days im sure there will be more support, meaning more people who will want to play. so if you dont want to contribute your AMAZING 6 YEARS OF HALO EXPERIENCE to the noobs who still play this game, then shut the fuck up, thanks.

k, im done thread shouldnt be a flamewar

to J3ALLAs idea, having personal stats removed would be a good idea, not necessarily take away stats people already have, but just dont add on any in the future. just keep team stats to see W/L per team

After you've read this and given up as to how to reply, feel free to eat your own shit. In all honesty, either keep those kinds of things to yourself or just don't post >.<

Definitly a good point id say. It turns the game into more team orientated rather than allstar player status.

Plus if what you're going for is the noobs to get better, experienced players are gonna have to help out and this
should give them more of an incentive.

Definitly a good idea all around I think, it be cool if it got started soon because ppl will definitly be back for
Thanksgiving break and if the activity is high, maybe they'll play more often as well.

Edit: can you guys not flame for one fucking topic? Good god

And the fact that your going to have any authority in this revival of halo with that attitude shows me what the outcome of this will be. Step one of this process should be looking at yourself in the mirror and realiIng what the problem with the community really is. Grow up

k buddy im done lol, sorry if i overreacted, just took your post a little too far, i really dont flame people hardly at all nor do i actually post on forums all THAT much tbh

but anyways like voodoo said, any other ideas you can come up with you can xfire or just post here

Ideas already formed/possibility of happening:
- 2 teams
- possibly make a list of players that youd want to play with
- remove personal stats

I like your idea as well but I think its a little too late for it, it would have been more effective wen hpt was
A little more active and wen there were noob teams actually trying to compete.

At this point in time I think the average player would much rather have the oppertunity to play with better/experienced
Players rather than lose over and over with his own team.
