i would definitely suggest watching all of satoshi kon's films and series, its a damn shame he passed away at such a young age(47, pancreatic cancer).

interstellar looks like it could be christopher nolan's best, might be too early to say that but i never cared for memento or the dark knight trilogy.

What about the dark knight series did you not find good enough to be cared about? I personally thought they were fantastic especially the second one. The third one i thought had a rather fitting ending.

i think the dark knight trilogy got progressively worse. batman begins was actually good, dark knight and dark knight rises are insanely flawed, completely stupid and unenjoyable for me.

its just really sad to see any of those films at the top of anyones lists, i firmly believe the dark knight is the most overrated movie to ever exist.

From The Matrix movie (1999), "The name of Morpheus' ship, the Nebuchadnezzar, is a Biblical reference to King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon, from the Book of Daniel. King Nebuchadnezzar ('the Great') was famous for his conquests of Israel (specifically Judah and Jerusalem). He also built the Hanging Gardens of Babylon (one of the lost Seven Wonders of the Ancient World) for his wife. He has a dream he can't remember but keeps searching for an answer, in Daniel 2:1-49.

According to the inscription on the Nebuchadnezzar's core, the ship was "Made in the USA" in the year 2069. It also states that it is a "Mark III, No. 11" model, which is a possible reference to Mark 3:11, which reads "And whenever those possessed by evil spirits caught sight of him, they would fall down in front of him shrieking, 'You are the Son of God!'"

wow Scarlet Johannsen offered lead in Ghost in the Shell movie?
It wont be as good as the last 90s cartoon. just wont. besides, isnt Major Motoko Kusanagi Japanese?
http://www.firstshowing.net/2014/scarlett-johansson-has-an-offer-to-lead-ghost-in-the-shell-instead/

The TMNT remake this summer was supposed to have Krang, Rocksteady and Beebop. Maybe the sequel, that already has a release date, will.
no reason to remake it. Or, Michael just sucks, either way.

^really, because i'm totally skeptical about it. 'Unbroken' is a WWII movie coming out in December. The Christian turning point in his epic story, in his book, is redacted from the movie. Thx Angie. RIP Louie Z.

I've read that "Black Panther" will be made. Also, anyone who knows Marvel Comics can see they have been building an "Infinity Gauntlet" type storyline for a while now. So that could be in 2017 or so. X-force -Cable, Greymalkin, Applecrust, and etc. will be neat also. I though xmen:dofp, was not as good as first class. /rant.

Marvel sold to Disney in 2009 for $4.2 billion. The first Avengers movie in 2012 grossed $1.5 billion worldwide. Starting with Blade and X-men in the late 90s, the studio will have 40 films soon.

Stan Lee helped create all the main Marvel Comics characters, with other writers and artists, i think. He is 91 years old in 2014, b.1922.

The Infinity Gauntlet (1991, comic book) was the first comic series relating to Thanos and the infinity gems. The neat part of the story was his infatuation with Lady Death and how he beat down all the cosmic beings. The super heroes, Avengers, Xmen, etc. worked together to defeat him, more or less. Spider-man included of course. (which character is licensed to Sony, so i'm not sure how he'll be in the movies.)
Either way, the comics included a key character named Adam Warlock. The Infinity War was actually the next 6 part comic, followed by the Infinity Crusade.
Both stories hinge on Adam Warlock's time with the Infinity Gauntlet.
^SPOILER ALERT.
Two of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" actually end up with 1 Infinity stone each.
Of course they could omit Adam Warlock altogether or re-do the story however they like.

In the comics the Infinity Gems went like this:
Mind -Blue
Power -Red
Reality -Yellow
Soul -Green
Space -Purple
Time -Orange
One person having them all together would have god-like power. Obviously the Marvel films have been building this story line for a while.

I dont remember how it ends exactly, but it will be an intense movie sequence (c. 2017) attempting to separate the power from Thanos.

The one true God in reality is referenced in Marvel occasionally, even in the recent movies. Captain American referring to Thor (the Norse thunder god) says, "There is only one God ma'am, and i'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that."

thats part of the Infinity Gauntlet #1 cover.
apparently a popular tattoo.

Interstellar 10/10 - I honestly had very high expectations, but somehow this movie exceeded it. Made me so happy to experience Nolan pulling of the different dimensions. I can't simply relate to this movie more. I was full of emotion the entire film, and very emotional at certain scenes. The soundtrack gave me goosebumps. The movie is 3 hours long, and I went to an ipic theater where they serve drinks and food. I had an urge to piss badly half way through the movie, but that urge dissipated and that NEVER HAPPENS. The emotional impact was something I've NEVER experienced. All i can say is that this movie has secured a firm spot of my all time favorite movie. Just go see it.

Also before watching it, don't watch the trailers. Even if you have seen them, it's a better experience when you have forgotten some clips from the movie.

Also do a quick read on these things:
