I had no interest in Interstellar and still have none.

From what i've seen the plot looked Inception-like.

SPOILER ALERT

Interstellar 10/10 - I honestly had very high expectations, but somehow this movie exceeded it. Made me so happy to experience Nolan pulling of the different dimensions. I can't simply relate to this movie more. I was full of emotion the entire film, and very emotional at certain scenes. The soundtrack gave me goosebumps. The movie is 3 hours long, and I went to an ipic theater where they serve drinks and food. I had an urge to piss badly half way through the movie, but that urge dissipated and that NEVER HAPPENS. The emotional impact was something I've NEVER experienced. All i can say is that this movie has secured a firm spot of my all time favorite movie. Just go see it.

Also before watching it, don't watch the trailers. Even if you have seen them, it's a better experience when you have forgotten some clips from the movie.

Also do a quick read on these things:

I got emotional at parts too

i really liked snowpiercer, one of the best movies of the year, there was one scene that was laughably ridiculous and it had to do with fish that took me out of the film but other than that it was fine.

highly recommend watching ENEMY

this and boyhood are tied as my favorite releases of the year, i slightly favor enemy though cause of how thought provoking it is

Interstellar - 11/10 if i can even do that. A lot of the theoretical physics is sound until the end where they just incorporate artistic interpretation about a lot of the major theoretical physics concepts. The Story was phenomenal and the music fit perfectly with the contents of each scene and the events all unfold to a beautiful plot. Like vish said i have no words to explain how i felt about it. My jaw is still on the floor. Also as an Engineer with an interest in space i felt like a god walking out of the theater and really pumped about possibly doing some of the crazy things they did. Falls in as one of my favorite movies of all time. Also, Nolan toyed with my emotions with this movie. Fantastic.

mixed feelings about interstellar, i thought it was just mediocre. i really liked the score although i don't understand why it was so loud at times that you couldn't hear the dialogue. the film itself was so god damn heavy handed, the themes in the film were slammed in your face over and over. sometimes there was TOO much explanation in scenes yet there was really no exposition at the beginning of the film of what cataclysmic event caused so much damage to the earth one of the scenes that had any effect on me emotionally was when cooper was looking at the transmissions of his son growing up and how much he missed. 5.5/10

the issue with basically every christopher nolan film besides memento and following is that he puts no faith in his audiences.

i like that you bring up that point. i recognized that in 'V for Vendetta' when I watched it last week (not for the first time). it happens a lot. why do you think that bothers you?

yeah thats another problem with the movie is that a lot of things make no sense at all.

not having faith in your audience is not a good thing at all, there was no "see, don't tell" in this film, it was "see, tell and tell some more". absolutely nothing is left to the viewer.

it was still a very intense movie, i enjoyed watching it and didn't have high expectations of it. it was...at times absolutely ridiculous.

if you liked interstellar and have NOT seen contact, please do yourself the favor and watch contact, its a vastly superior film that definitely influenced interstellar.

i saw the tale of princess kaguya a couple days ago, this is why i love studio ghibli, one of the most moving and haunting films i have ever seen with a unique visual style(un-surprisingly hand-drawn like everything studio ghibli has created). the best animated film since spirited away, i would love to see this win the oscar for best animated feature just so more people will watch it. 10/10

OOH SNAP ANOTHER STUDIO GHILBI FILM? I haven't seen one since i was like 7 lol. I actually recently saw Princess Mononoke again (9/10).

The animation in the new one sort of puts me off from watching it but i will probably end up watching it anyway.

Need For Speed (6/10) - Just recently saw it. It wasn't really satisfying at all. The plot was extremely predictable and very very general. Only gave it a 6 for the cars and that's about it.
