The Greatest

I'm missing parts out, because it just reads like stoner jibber jabber, i apologize now if i have missed a point you were trying to make. Can you assume i can be unbiased? Absolutely not, no one is truely unbiased. I do view such behavior as wrong, for the most part because i think patriotism is a worthless mothertrucker. I am comprehending the circumstances, i already see why and how people are rejoicing, and i don't agree with it. Obviously like i said previously, i cannot fully comprehend such a thing though. I find it very interesting that you make an analogy to a sports concept. The world through such a concept is= Whats good for your team is bad for my team/ Whats good for their team is bad for my team. And that is a very primitive yet common concept of morality, it basically emphasizes how people's definition of good is self interested. I understand you favor a specific 'team' because that team appeals to you. I could be lacking empathy or understanding, but i personally think it is disgusting that people are celebrating their country's greatness because of the death of a person. I don't think i am the only person here with this view, Louie's post was a perfect example. I think i provided enough reason to explain why such a view is justified in my mind.
Supporting a sports team doesn't necessary show patriotism, it simply shows my support of a sports team. My support of the New Zealand soccer team was mostly from their underdog status. I'm not patriotic at all, i think it's bullshit. I love my country to an extent, but i haven't lived in your country, or their country, so i'm not going to ascend mine over either. And that certainly wasn't a good anecdote comparison to the situation we are talking about. However i will retract and alter what i first said, i i can understand people being happier that someone is dead, but i think if you get patriotic over such an event, well that is disgusting.
I clearly said everyone is a product of their genetics and environment, if you think another factor effects people do share. Until then, learn to read. Edited by gatman, May 2 2011, 05:18 PM.

I haven't read the previous pages, but I found the public's response to be extremely disgusting. Americans are supposed to hold ourselves to higher standards and yet we celebrate someones death. What better are we then the Al Qaeda when we celebrate the deaths of others? I just find that it should not be morally acceptable to celebrate ones death under any circumstances and I'm very disappointed in the Americans that took part. It's a morbid thought, what kind of society does this, a radical one. Are we so morally bankrupt that we parade upon someones death. This man single-handedly deteriorated the virtue of our people and its disgusting. To those who disagree, I completely understand his negative impact to the world, but how does it LOOK when our people;Americans the influential leaders of the world, celebrate someones death. It just shows how we're no better then the barbaric radicals who get happiness upon people dying.

And where were you born? I find it annoying how that in every thread Gatman posts in, you sniff him out, and post something very similiar. Form your own ideas, and stop acting like you're his bitch. I don't understand these people that aren't from the U.S, and people like you, that find it "disgusting" that we're celebrating voer this mans death. What I find disgusting is the amount of people that he killed, and in the fashion that he did it. Do you think he thought about everyone he killed and wondered if he had obliterated someones hope in the world? No. Do you think if he had another chance to do it again he would? Yes. I find THAT disgusting, but you're sitting over there thinking about how outlandish that were celebrating about justice being served. It's people like you that should've been swallowed. And I don't understand you're thought process by telling us since we're Americans that were supposed to hold ourselves to higher standards, like were the alpha male of the world. You're thoughts are very distrubing themselves. People have a reason to be fucking happy but since "We killed someone", all of that is thrown out of the window because of morals. What fucking morals were there when 3000 fucking people died 9/11? What morals were there when he performed the same attacks in 93? Shut the fuck up about your morals and get your head out of your ass. How about this - You're married, you have 3 kids, a wife, and a home. Normal family. Someone comes one night, and kills 2 of your kids, and leaves the third scarred for life. The police finally find him, and is eventually shot to death. And you're going to tell me you wouldn't rejoice that a fucking mad-man is taken off the streets, and justice for your family was served? You're a fucking retard, as is everyone else that says its "disgusting" we're celebrating because a man was killed. I'm done. And as for Gatman thinking he could have been rehabilitated, LMFAO. |

of course, no ones denying what he did n his conscience of doing the acts that he has done, but same goes toward the American government's stupidity too, this could have been prevented by them, yet they failed to. but i don't think its right how he got shot instead of capturing him alive and questioning ( although jihads like him would rather die than give out any info on betraying his fellow terrorists. ) P.S. i agree with you in the morals part and 100% with you trill, but i don't think the scenario of the family you gave was a good example. have you watched law abiding citizen? if a person like him took out my family, of course i would want to kill him, but at the same time the rational thing to do would let him be served justice the proper way instead of getting revenge, and in most cases the cause to another retaliation would lead to another war between the U.S and the middle east. Overall, you and around have points that are right except one does not like what the americans did (celebrating wise) and the other does. |
