recently, i got a new modem to replace the old one (which doesnt function probably due to ddos attacks). i also got a new phone jack on the wall or whatever thats called, since i think that was fried too. with the old modem, i used to get 33 in chis (im in cleveland, ohio) but with this new modem i get 67-100 in chi. i also get higher ping in other servers. is there anything i can do to alleviate this problem without buying a new modem?? my old modem was: Siemens SpeedStream 4100 B it came free when we first ordered ATT my new modem is: ActionTec Ethernet DSL Modem bought from: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0351865 even though it says it has routing capabilities, i am using the router from before would great appreciate any help :d |
