As a team maybe they didn't, but Garnett did a much better job of not allowing Roy to get position in the post. Even in the first, a handful of his buckets were on putbacks. Maybe one or two was actually a legitimate post move into a hook shot. Roy's problem isn't that he's too complacent. It's a combination of 1) he still lacks the strength to maintain post position and seal his man and 2) the Pacers often get too caught up in feeding George or West and forget about him inside or simply can't make an entry pass. Stephenson and PG are probably the only two guys on the team that can throw an entry pass. He will never be dominant even in a league with no dominant centers atm. Best case is 14-10 with great defense and rim protection. Honestly, Lee's defense didn't really bother George. The dude was just missing open shots and other shots that he has been hitting the past few months. It didn't help that he didn't get any calls but you could say this for the Celtics as well. He usually shoots 50%+ at home and tonight he must have been like 2-10 or something from 3 and all of them were open looks. Lee is definitely a good defender, but tonight was on Paul just missing open shots in the same spots and out of the same sets. Usually when Paul is off, West is on and when West is off, Paul is on. This was just one of those nights where no one could score consistently and a couple of mental lapses later, you have a loss. This team has lost at least 5 games this year because they cannot close out games. Ironically, most of them have been at home. Would have been nice to have Granger on a night like tonight. |

i dont understand how you can stand watching Jeff Green on a nightly basis, let alone change your alias to be Jeff Green. |

KMart checks in with 5 fouls and Durant pulls the Kobe rip-through move to draw his 6th seconds later. |

me and my buddy have been jeff green fans since he was at georgetown. I've always thought he had tremendous potential and ever since the allstar break he is beginning to show signs of true talent. I understand your frustrations with him though since he has always been incredibly inconsistent. I just love the flow of his game. When he is on it's fun to watch. GREENER PASTURES AHEAD THOUGH.

It's a shame because he has so much ability and potential, but no consistency at all. Guy will go off like this: and then disappear. Edited by Paul George, Mar 8 2013, 02:49 AM.

![]() ![]() ![]() http://espn.go.com/boston/nba/story/_/id/9029779/boston-celtics-jeff-green-feels-green drown in jeff green and all his glory fuckers It is not always about an individuals skill or athleticism that makes them a great player. Jeff Green is a player that I respect and admire because of what he has overcome to get to the point at which he is at today. The fact that he went through life threatening heart surgery and was still able to work himself back to the point where he is able to compete at an elite level is truly amazing. If you can't respect that then you are just a shitty person. With that being said, Jeff Green is not horrible. Being able to watch him this season has been great and I can't help but be excited for what the future holds for him. ~flame on Edited by Trapt, Mar 8 2013, 10:24 AM.

Unless you followed Green when he was in OKC, you really have no idea how bad he was when you consider the ability he had. They basically gave him away for an overpaid space-eater whose only claim to fame is that he could guard Dwight. (Now everyone can guard Dwight) It has nothing to do with his heart problem, which was terrible and its amazing that he was able to recover, and everything to do with his lackluster performance while on OKC. Pretty fortunate to get traded to Boston. If KG cant motivate someone, then nobody can. |

i'm aware that he sucked in okc... However, as you pointed out with veterans such as KG and Pierce and a great coach in Doc Rivers, he is finally playing up to his true potential. To say that he is a horrible player now is stupid. Clearly remedy is bitter over those okc days. There is really no better situation for a young player to be in other than maybe the Spurs organization. Boston has and continues to mold young underachieving players into true difference makers within this league.
