wtf havock you are dumb as rocks Houston is/was a better team than LA even before Kobe went down. LAL fans needed to to stop pretending that anyone was afraid of facing a 1 SRS team. |

Aside from Kobe being hurt, what the fuck are you talking about? Is this another Laker fan fantasy now that Kobe is officially out? No one is afraid of the Lakers. No one was afraid of the Lakers. No one will be afraid of the Lakers. They got closed down by OKC last year in the playoffs after barely getting by a young Denver team that was far below the level that they have been this year. This year, San Antonio hasn't lost to the Lakers. They have lost to Houston. OKC lost to the Lakers barely when the Lakers were on a hot streak and at full strength. They drilled them the other times. So it's safe to say, OKC and SA dont give a fuck who out of Utah, LAL, and Houston fills the 7 and 8. The real trouble starts when they play Denver/LAC/Memphis. And I'm going to guess you haven't watched Houston play this year. To you, Harden ad Lin are probably still overrated. You probably have no idea who Greg Smith or Chandler Parsons are. Omer Asik is a backup Euro center on the Bulls. |

I don't understand why boston fans are still mad about allen leaving, they were close on dealing him.. so it's alright to talk about dealing him, talk shit about him that he's old & he can longer play .. that he was no longer part of their "big 3" but as soon he takes less money to go with someone else, makes him the bad guy right? Good thing he is having a decent or well he's having a bigger impact on his current team than both courtney lee/ jason terry players who boston acquired to replace allen & praised would play a lot better than ray allen this year.. yep sucks for you boston, get rdy for a couple of more years of being mediocre while you patiently wait on the player you originally traded to get ray allen for to develop... ![]() |

la's advantage over san antonio is its size, so kobe's absence (and quite frankly slow feet on the perimeter) won't be as big of a factor as people realize. remedy, i never said the spurs were tanking to avoid the lakers. i said there really isn't a motivation to play their starters because a) it's pop and b) a win would place them against a less desirable, but still beatable opponent. again, classic you putting words in another person's mouth. Houston is a better team though. LA can have all the size in the world, but it doesn't mean shit because Houston is better. |

what i was saying was the rockets are a better match for the spurs. houston won't be able to hang when the pace slows down and all of their fast breaks become slow grinding half-court sets, and their porous defense will be exposed. the lakers have a much slower offense but a defense that is at least middle-of-the-road (houston's is one of the league's worst). so if i were the spurs looking towards the playoffs and wanting an easier first round matchup, i'd want houston. i don't think the lakers have a realistic chance though...sadly... i mean, when's the last time steve blake scored 23 points in a game? lmao. pimp, it's gonna be a long 6-9 months in lakerland broski :( |

so....you don't know anything about either teams apparently. Houston is rocking the 6th best offense in the league, and a roughly league average defense (16th). LA is 9th in the league on offense, and....wait for it....20th in defense. So their offense is worse, AND their defense is worse than the supposedly "porous" defense of the Rockets. I have no clue where you even got that Houston's defense is one of the league's worst, or that LA's was somehow better. Oh and the Lakers are 4th in the league in pace, so by no means are they a "much slower offense" or a grind it out half court team. If anything they're the exact opposite. In the 2012 season, they'd be the second fastest offense, ahead of every team besides the Kings. |

i do watch houston play. theyre my second fav team in the nba after gsw. im not talking as a laker fan btw. i was just saying who spur would rather play in the playoffs which will be a very different situation from reg season. and at that time wen i posted, kobe wasnt injured. so now i guess u could said la would b a better option for the spurs. regular season and playoffs are two different things. u are again just being a stat nerd like usual. spurs will have an easier time with houston than they will with the lakers |

oh nvm. i just realized i posted the next day. i think i was under the impression that he was coming back( didnt know about the torn achilles) and only to find out later that he ll be out for the rest of the year. anyways, i still stand by my point whether or not houston has a better record than the lakers. edit; just like saying the pacers is better than the celtics because they have a better record Edited by Osama Bin Laggin, Apr 15 2013, 07:39 PM.
