Awesome game tonight at the garden. Place was rocking. Pelicans controlled the game until the end and then Sullinger went off. Huge shots by Crowder and Smart. Davis is a monster and had a quiet 30+ point night. Dude is scary good..![]()

That Lakers pick Philly got for MCW is top 5 protected, and the odds the Lakers land in the top 5 are pretty high. It'll most likely be a 11-18th pick next season, which is right around where they drafted MCW.. Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. It's basically a mulligan. Then they also gave up KJ for peanuts. Must have been some behind the scenes drama there. Philly will forever be 3 years from being 3 years away. Overall I think MIA, BOS and OKC came out ahead. I have no clue what PHX was thinking, or why MIL would give up Knight for someone worse. Maybe they assumed they wouldn't be able to re-sign him? Edited by eager, Feb 20 2015, 12:04 AM.

they get a good point guard (dont say MCW isnt a good PG), who was VERY underrated due to the fact that his entire surroundings were D-league-esque players and rookies who is still on his rookie contract (owed about $2.6 mil this year (?) and $3.2 mil (?) next year) as opposed to trying to match an offer sheet thats near a max contract deal in restricted free agency with BK basically what the bucks said is that they didnt trust BK to be the entire future of the bucks and didnt deserve to become the highest paid player on the bucks roster. this way they also will have about 16-17 million in cap space next season also in part with larry sanders buy out. they get 2 good promising young prospects in ennis and plumlee that fill a void that they needed for depth. they basically just freed a FUCKING TON of cap space for next season and theyll have EVEN MORE for the year after that when the salary cap rises just wait for the bucks to make some GIGANTIC moves in either this offseason or next. theyre going to have about 16 million in cap space this next season and something in the realm of 60 million in cap space the season following also before the season started i believe that BK turned down a contract extension in the realm of 4 years/48 million dollars (which is kembas current deal i think), so by doing that they just freed up a minimum of 10 million dollars at the point guard position Edited by low, Feb 21 2015, 02:57 AM.

just posting my opinion here don't get mad at me.. To start off I'll say that I understand this trade from a money perspective. It makes perfect sense why the bucks would trade an impending free agent for someone still on their rookie contract. If the bucks felt knight was not their pg of the future then it made no sense to hold on to him. However, I'm still not buying how this trade makes the bucks better for the long run. "Don't say MCW is not a good pg" While he is good he is certainly nothing special. In a league filled with good pgs MCW certainly doesn't stand out from than the rest. You point out that he was surrounded by dleaguers, insinuating that if he was surrounded by better players he would perform at a higher level. I tend to look at it in a sense that his numbers were overinflated in Philly because of the very fact that he was surrounded by dleaguers and he played heavy minutes and took twice as many shots than he should be taking. Which brings me to my second point, his shooting. On a team like the bucks who are rebuilding their team around Parker, and Giananis it would make most sense to have a pg who can both shoot at a high efficiency and play off the ball. Knight was a player who fit this mold..MCW not so much. With MCW in the lineup the bucks are going to have some serious floor spacing issues. Which I find funny because you were always getting on rondo for his inability to shoot and now that the bucks have MCW it doesn't seem to matter anymore. Then again you were also praising knight and now that hes gone its apparently a good move by the bucks. My last point that I'm going to make, for now, is the point you made about the impending freeagency and having the cap space to go out and make a gigantic move. Who in their right mind is going to sign in Milwaukee? The bucks are in the same situation as the celtics in that no big free agent in their right mind is going to sign with either team. These are not desired cities to play in my friend and this is the nba we are talking about. Edited by Trapt, Feb 21 2015, 08:29 AM.

now understand that i have liked brandon knight this whole season, and last season. however with his numbers and him being more of a combo guard, mainly towards a scorer, would he really be worth a max contract? you mention a point stating that MCW does not stand out in comparison with a league littered with point guards, i dont think brandon knight stands out as a top 10 point guard even, maybe. as far as mentioning MCWs shooting percentage, its gonna be shitty, hes not a great shooter and theres more pressure on him to score. when hes got players around him like the bucks do who can score on their own, him being a pass first point guard is gonna benefit everyone around him and his own shooting percentage. MCW is also a better defender and fits their length that theyve been rolling with, adding him could make their defense which is #2 in the league right now in defensive rating, even better. sorry if my grammar sounds retarded i just woke up |

also theres tons of free agent big men on the market next season who are pretty decent, i highly doubt that all of them are gonna be resigining with their respective teams. ive learned to trust john hammond so far, i dont really doubt what he does. essentially at this point out of all of his trades he basically flipped brandon jennings for MCW, khris middleton, tyler ennis and miles plumlee, also take the carlos delfino and miroslav radjulica trade and you got the clippers 1st rounder in 2017 and jared dudley. i tend to trust this guy on trades now (minus the tobias one which i dont think was his doing mostly) |

sully is out for the year...shit I really want the celtics to try and make the playoffs. Perhaps they can bring in someone like Thomas Robinson to try and fill the void. |
