the grizzlies' inability to make three point shots worries me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MEM is second to last in the league in 3PA. They don't live or die by the 3 like other teams do. It's one of the reasons I think they're built to succeed in the playoffs. Time will tell though, the Spurs are probably their biggest threat and if the playoffs started today, they'd face them in the first round.
You don't think the 3pt shot is important come playoff time?
No, I don't think 3 point shooting is an important part of a team that is nearly dead last in 3PA. It's not nearly as important as it is for say GSW, ATL or HOU. MEM is not a 3 pt shooting team. Do I think they need to be a 3 pt shooting team to be successful in the playoffs? No. They weren't when they took the Thunder to 7 last year, or when they made the WCF. LAC and HOU have relied on 3 pt shooting throughout the playoffs the last few years; where did that get them?

L O L

A team without 3 pt. shooters took GSW to 6 and lost a tight close out game without their best perimeter defender and an injured Mike Conley.
i dont think u understand the point that is being made.

on a side note, its harden vs curry iso game duel

blade you can post screenshots of you beating people like louie in 1v1s as much as you want (seriosly with your sound, set up, and stopwatch you shouldnt lose a 1v1) but it doesnt change the fact that he is 20x the player you are.

The Grizzlies were able to slow the Warriors down heavily by putting Tony Allen on Klay, so I expect the Cavs to try to do the same with Shumpert. I think it will actually work out better for the Cavs, since the Warriors won't be able to sag off Shumpert on the other end like they did to Allen. Curry will go off no matter who is defending him, so the Cavs might as well throw Irving on him. LeBron will probably be on him for important possessions down the stretch. TT will kill the offensive glass if Draymond steps out to guard LeBron, so I'm curious to see if they stick Barnes on LeBron, or start Iggy. Whatever happens, the Warriors should just leave him wide open from beyond the arc, since his jumper has been atrocious all throughout the playoffs. Hobbled Irving is going to be up against the best perimeter defender he's met all playoffs in Klay. The Cavs role players are going to have to (once again) step up huge in order for them to win, and I don't see that happening against a team as deep and historically good as the Warriors. GSW in 6.

going back reading couple of pages people really thought memphis was gunna beat gsw LOL
if tony allen doesn't get injured then we had a legit chance
if they had 3pt shooters, yea they would have had a legit chance.

Every team has something they're missing. HOU had 3 pt. shooters, how well did they do?

what do you mean? houston did fine apart from the fact that harden fucks it up for them from time to time...

and i was speaking specifically on memphis. you have two big guys like zebo and gasol who are tanks, imagine they had a consistent 3pt shooter? they dont even have to be good like korver or klay etc... they just gotta be above average and hit those 5-7 shots consistently every night, it would space out the floor so much, ball movement would be more fluid plus you wouldnt have to rely on big mans to win you the game night in and night out. conley can shoot but when i watched him in the playoffs he didnt take those shots that well(maybe because of the injury as well) carter and green's 3 pt fg% are terrible so they wouldnt fit and that leaves courtney lee who hits 2-3 every night barely if you are lucky which wont be enough against other 3 pt shooting teams.

The MEM series was closer than the HOU one, and HOU was one of the best 3 pt. shooting teams. MEM has also consistently competed with elite 3 pt. shooting teams, beating SAS in the first round, taking OKC to 7, LAC to 7, and sweeping OKC in 4 en route to a WCF. MEM no longer has the best perimeter defense in the NBA if they replace Conley/Allen with better shooters, unless they pick up someone like CP3 (not happening). They play a style of basketball that maximizes their strengths and minimizes their weaknesses. There's more than one way to win a basketball game.

cavs have no chance.. with lebron playing like this and gsw still managing to win.. It's quite over.. Especially with kyrie being a possibility of not being able to play a few games. 4-2 gsw

It's over for CLE. The matchups played out how I thought they would.. Kyrie on Curry, Klay on Kyrie, Barnes on Lebron. Without Kyrie at 100%, the Cavs don't stand a chance. It would have been a contested series even if they had a fully healthy Kyrie and Love. Without either, they're looking at a sweep. Cavs were already running an 8 man rotation, without Kyrie who do they play? Joe Harris?

Delly was a part of their 8 man rotation. Without Kyrie they're down to 7 guys. They're gonna have to play Joe Harris at some point if Kyrie doesn't come back.. which should be disastrous.
