They have to play out of their minds offensively if they want to take a game because they aren't going to hold golden state to less than 100 pts. I don't see it happening. LeBron will have to make some changes this off season. I would love to see cp3 instead of Irving and a stretch-4 that can play defense like Bosh. Edited by mechers, Jun 6 2016, 11:59 AM.

It's basically LBJ vs the warriors. The warriors have way too much dept for the Cavs. Cleavland is outmatched at every position except for SF and even there it's not a blowout via the combination of good D on Lebron, not the best play by LBJ, and Iggy/Barnes playing really well. There is nothing Cleavland can do to hide Kyrie on defense. The warriors are shooting like efg 65%+ when guarded by Irving. Kevin Love has been lackluster and there is no place to hide him on defense either. This is a guy who was called top 5 player in the league when he was on Minny and was in talks about the MVP. What a joke. I understand that the theory "lebron needs more help" has become a running joke but it's pretty evident in these finals. Lebron is anchoring both the defense and offense and they have been able to keep the games close but he can't do it by himself. Meanwhile, GSW is constructed so well and plays ridiculous team ball. Curry has a bad game? Doesn't matter cause they'll beat you from positions 2-8 instead. Now Lebron is in a terrible spot if they lose this year. I don't think he realized how badly overrated Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving are with respect to post season play. In the regular season, these guys can win you games sure, but the post season is a whole different animal. Teams will specifically target your weaknesses and it's really hard to hide two defensive liabilities, especially against the #1 ORTG team in NBA history. He can't really leave Cleavland because his entire story of leaving Miami was to "win one for the land" but at the same time, I think he knows that he can't compete with the Western powerhouses using the current roster. Plus, it's really hard to attract star free agents to Cleveland (it's no Miami/NY/LA/Chicago). A sign/trade for CP3 would be a great start, as CP3 has proven he can show up when it matters most. Not sure who else they can get next year to keep Lebron from wasting another "prime" year. edit: I know this sounds like a rant but it is. For one year, we, as basketball fans, were eagerly awaiting the finals rematch we were deprived of last year due to injuries. When we do finally have it this year, it is an inferior product with barely any entertainment value. I honestly feel really badly for Lebron (not that he needs any of our pities). I know he's not really playing the best either (still above average tho) but a lot of his game involves getting a lot of attention on offense and then making the right play for the easy points or uncontested shot. The scrubs aka Irving and Love and Smith can't hit a fucking bucket which forces LBJ to drive even harder to get points and takes away their entire offensive Mojo. At the point Lebron should just say fuck you to the cavs and drive on every play and drop 60+ aka Jordan on the Celtics. That way people won't say that he failed and will see who is actually responsible for this embarrassing performance. They say great players don't really make the best coaches or GMs and it's probably true here. GM LBJ didn't know how scrubby the players on the team he assembled were. Now he's in a tight bind. We'll take a 30 second commercial break now folks. Skip get me my coffee. Edited by vodka!, Jun 6 2016, 12:37 PM.

Some people had Cavs winning since they won 2 games last year vs the Warriors and they didn't even have Kyrie or Love healthy. But i mean what else can you say right? |

I don't understand your post Louie so I'm going to choose to just be offended by it. edit/ Rhymes you completely missed the point. Nobody was bashing you for your prediction. A lot of people predict games and a lot of people are wrong. They just commented on the specific phrase "x team wanted it more". LeBron is down 2 games to 0, do you think it's because Curry 'wants' it more? or maybe there's other factors. Edited by mechers, Jun 6 2016, 01:26 PM.

Normally hiding a weak defensive PG isn't that difficult. The Suns did it pretty well with Nash, Portland is doing it well with Lillard, even Curry is at best a league average defender and his team is one of the better defensive teams in the league. I don't know what the problem with Irving is. It's probably just poor coaching. Edited by eager, Jun 6 2016, 04:47 PM.

Coaching has certainly alot to do with it but I think it's more of the fact that it's hard to hide two players on defense against a premier offense. Plus it's not like JR is a GREAT defender anyway. The guy can get a few stops here and there but overall I wouldn't rate his defense as excellent. Shumpert is the best wing defender they have other than LBJ and they don't really have someone in the paint to contest on drives either. It's gonna be a real quick series. If you were Lebron, what's the next move? Edited by vodka!, Jun 6 2016, 06:59 PM.

Well Lillard/McCollum are both below average defenders, but they at least funnel their guy into the help defense. If Kyrie can at least do that consistently it'll help a lot. Then again he'll be leading his guy into Love/Thompson... Might not make a big difference. Edited by eager, Jun 6 2016, 08:05 PM.

Dude, it doesnt matter if the cavs won this game or not. This shit has been over with already. The real final was OKC vs GS. I just had cavs winning game 3 since Warriors always loose game 3.
