Can't believe no1 picked up Decker.. At least I got him. Louie.. I'm set for WR'S, I just need RB's. I have pretty good TE's / WR's / good defense / good qbs / good rbs. My team is set.. I just want to improve on some players If I was able to with Stafford. Edited by Baddy, Oct 5 2011, 04:39 PM.

My team is shit, yet I keep fucking up people like havock whom have a better QB & players who score more points. Oath will probably beat me this week unless my roster can pull points out there ass for this match up. -Matt |

So someone in my league is offering Gore OR Sproles and requesting Miles Austin. Here is my set-up - league is PPR (including points for special teams for offensive players). QB: Rodgers/Romo RB1: Turner RB2: Law Firm/Benson RB/WR: Jordy Nelson/Decker WR1: Wallace WR2: AJ Green/Washington TE: Gonzalez DST: Bucs/Cards/Falcons K: Bryant I'm debaing Sproles b/c of the leauge I'm in and how they score (I get points for his returns and he's been avg. 18-26 points/wk). I'm less open to Gore simply becuase he might get hurt again. Austin was a beast for his first two games (second especially) but I'm not convinced he'll maintatin given Romo's ribs. My RB 2 is a bit weak with BJGE and Benson (both are hit or miss each week - especially if Benson gets the 3 game suspension forcing me to play the Law Firm no matter what). I am having a tough time parting with Austin simply because of his potential to score in the 30s and possible 40s again. Thoughts? |

dont do that trade lol austin has proved himself consistently this season and dez bryant seems to have lingering injury issues himself as well as felix jones, the only STRONG WR option in dallas is austin (and witten) and hes going to get a LOT of targets, he may not be quite as productive as his 35 point game a few weeks ago but id expect 18+ points at least most weeks sproles is a decent fantasy option, but you cant forget hes still splitting carries with other backs and gore has only had one good game thus far which is pretty disappointing to me (i have austin and gore on my team btw) Edited by low, Oct 6 2011, 11:01 AM.

I am not too familiar with PPR leagues but given the choice I would take Sproles for Austin. Gore just isn't as impressive this season. Sproles reminds me of a younger Reggie Bush in that he catches a lot of passes as well being dangerous running the ball. Austin might have a good game once in a while but the bottom line is fantasy football is running back dominated. Given an equal RB vs an equal WR, I would take the RB any day. |

meanwhile hes had a 15 point game and a 32 point game (sorry not 35) in a pass heavier offense where he is the #1 reciever, ill take my chances |

the #1 and #2 receivers on espn have an average of 22.8 (welker) and 19.3 (calvin johnson). after that the points drop off to 15.3 (steve smith) for #3. larry fitzgerald is 8th with 11.8 points a game, andre johnson before he got hurt was putting up around 14 points a game. there's no way austin is better than those 2. sure he had 1 good game that is skewing his stats but i see him putting up anywhere between 7-12 pts a game. 18 pts a game is unheard of unless you're a running back or a qb. few wr's have that kind of consistency Edited by Louie, Oct 6 2011, 11:25 AM.

well you idiot if youre going to average out his games that hes played hes averaging 23 points, which would ironically top welker, he was injured the last 2 games so your argument is irrelevant note i didnt say he was going to do it every week, i said MOST weeks Edited by low, Oct 6 2011, 11:29 AM.

Pretty much my only concern is that Darren Sproles is third in the NFL for punt returns, averaging 17.8 yard per return and has a 78-yard punt return touchdown on his resume. In my league, every 25 kickoff return yards the offensive player gets 1 point and 6 for any touchdown. So in addition to his regular runs and catches I get his punt returns. Also, my line-up as is isn't incredibly strong at RB - basically, I can never trust BJGE/Benson on any week - is Sproles going to change that? I'm leaning towards no b/c of Badger's point that the Boys are pass heavy but the Saints put up so many fucking points and Brees throws so much isn't it inevitable that Sproles will continue to produce? Thanks for the input thus far though. |

how many teams are in your league out of curiosity? you have two very strong recievers with austin and mike wallace and theyll consistently put up points for you every week you can hope that benson will eventually consistently put up numbers because of the fact that cincy is gonna have to learn to balance out their run and pass with dalton, hes not going to be throwing 30+ passes a game on a normal basis at all this year, so hes a strong option, and turner obviously is a strong back keep your roster as it is and just check waivers frequently to see if theres anyone you can pick up |
