You: it's hard to get ahead, if you are donating money to causes (other than your own) You: ambition/drive would tell me to use that money to get myself richer You: it has no use for altruism Stranger: I don't see how that's a problem. You: so in your pursuit of success, you would condemn others less fortunate than yourself? Stranger: I certainly wouldn't help them just because they have less ambition than I do. You: but that's an assumption You: that they have less ambition You: ambition is caused by what? circumstances Stranger: The ambitious succeed no matter the circumstances You: not everyone has the same circumstances Stranger: plus ambitious people don't take charity |

Basically Does success make you a lonely person? Or does ambition and drive require one to be alone? He made some good points and I think I could argue either way. |
