has anyone ever heard of this site? you can't access it unless your connected using the tor network. apparently it's legit and stuff. i got in and the shit is completely crazy. like how the fuck do you run a site like this.

basically you can buy any drug in the world off of it from different sellers. anything from a gram of weed, to ounces, to herion and anything and everything in-between. i even saw dmt on the list and you don't find that shit often.


shit seems crazy, was wondering who else has heard of it.

TOR encrypts your internet data, then routes that data randomly through other people running the TOR network. Its like an anonomyzing laundry thing. After the data is sent thru 3+ nodes, its unencrypted and sent to its final destination.

TOR is not completely safe. If someone owns the exit node, they can see the plain text of your data. If someone owned the network that was routing the packets, they could see that you sent TOR packets and see where TOR packets where soon thereafter sent too, and deduce something from that likely. There are better alternatives to TOR being developed now.

However, practically, i really doubt anybody will be doing that sort of snooping to find someone buying drugs on silkroad. TOR's lack of safe-ness shouldn't be a huge problem if you're talking to the dealer with encrypted text.

The bitcoin payment system is safe so long as you launder your bitcoins in a trustworthy way or anonymously buy them somehow.

Buying from dealers is as risky as ebay. Buying from reputable people would be the safest bet.

The riskiest part is probably picking the stuff up, at the moment at least. This could be made safer if you delivered the package to a friends house, and had that friend (no questions asked) give the package to you in a busy non-obvious place. Like if you ate lunch with him every day you'd ask him to give you the package discretely at lunch. It'd be unlikely that anyone would be watching for all that, plus if it ever happened you 'd probably hear about it.

If you google around there's plenty of discussion about merits, concerns etc regarding silk road and similar.

didn't no that much about tor, good read.

personally i know a lot about the shipping of packages and i feel most of it is safe as long as the shipper does it properly although i have little knowledge about international shipments. if i ever did it, it would go to a friends house and i would pick it up at that location. bit coins are annoying cause now they are worth more than the dollar by a lot and i have to figure out how to do that if i ever want to go ahead with this service.
