there is not way to auto resize the images from the non-reported battles thread without limiting the width of the whole board. i really like seeing the PCRs and winning warriors etc. but it is gettting a lot of complaints... not sure exactly why though. The member list and recent topics are clearly visible on the left side.... so the portal can go back to displaying almost nothing like before. Or the non reported battle images could be required to be smaller or maunally adjusted. |

for the love of halo, change the portal back to EXACTLY how it was before The domain that everyone uses and knows about (hptforum.com, temporarily hptforum.info) redirects to the portal. The purpose of the portal is to provide a homepage that is informative, inviting, and aesthetically pleasing. The rules were front & center, it provided links to download HAC (necessary for competitive play), and had some consequences if the rules were not followed. If you didn't have an account or weren't logged in, only general discussion topics would trend and you could still enjoy the forum as a spectator without being a member. The clusterfuck of agreements and pcr's looks TERRIBLE and since there's so many threads in the section you have portal'd, the bottom margin stretches beyond belief. You now learn nothing by looking at the frontpage and if a new player were to see it, they'd be grossly turned off and think this forum was made by a child. PORTAL TRENDING TOPICS SHOULD BE GENERAL DISCUSSION RELATED, NOT LEAGUE REQUESTING TOPICS THE ADMIN SECTION SHOULD BE PRIVATE CHANGE IT BACK YOU SUCK |

i dont have a problem unlinking the non-reported battles posts from the portal today, though i strongly disagree about the attractiveness of that to anyone interested in hpc. anyone else agree with atrophy here on that? |

if these little changes really bother you guys this fucking much then you really need to get the fuck off hptforums or possibly the computer as a whole. shut the fuck up its been like 5 days.............. lets see if he can do anything different ..if not.. then fuck it at least someone is putting energy into it. none of you fuckers gave 2 shits until the power got displaced. i repeat. shut the fuck up until then ill just blow it off with sarcasm and apathy as my good friends gatman and crossfire are doing. since i really have no suggestions for the forums since all i want to do is play halo once in a while when i aint got shit to do. which isnt a problem really halo pc players xfire group 1 vent with separate adminning powers for clan channels hptforum for some lols, current news, and league duties (ars, etc) oh and montages i back sam. he just wants this stupid community to be more inviting which is what you retards want anyways. the moving of the active users is kind of nice because it just makes you realize that theres little to no reason why this community is so dead. its dead because everyone likes to bash eachother with cruel intent. orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr people just wanted to move on.. in which case people should be happy and it proves people will move on into halo as they always have.. .....................bitches Edited by HPT-15, Feb 27 2012, 04:49 PM.

^not quoting that but: I don't care about the little tidbits he changes such as subforums, where he puts minor details, etc... I'm just questioning how what he's doing is going to help.. Huge images goin off the page is far from what u say "inviting" If he wants this league more active he should be inviting 1ev noobs to his "1vent" and get them playing competitively. Changing little things on a forums only people that play check anyway isn't going to increase activity in any way |

sorry pewp but i gotta disagree with you on this one what is he doing for the league? everyone on the board dislikes what he has done. he hasnt provided the prize for the tournament yet, and if/when he does i will support him whole heartedly and i will help him with the league say he doesnt provide a prize for the tournament ---> controls boards ---> doesnt listen to anyones opinions ---> drives community away how is his "putting energy" into the forum helping? all its doing is annoying the last of the people who remain on these boards he isnt helping activity of halo in any way (other than if he actually does provide a prize for the tournament), hes just harming the boards and the remainder of the community Edited by low, Feb 27 2012, 05:11 PM.

i guess all i have to say is i dont care if he posts ten million oversized images puts montages in the off topic section, puts dicks in the vagina section..... whatever who gives a fuck XD i guess if it bothers you guys so much then i guess fight for it. but.... meh. he does have a few high traffic servers on hce but thats an easy task compared to hpc.. sam > sod or louie or bigbade or erosion or baddy   he has devotion that has been unseen. and i respect that.. at the very least Edited by HPT-15, Feb 27 2012, 05:18 PM.

i dont think thats p3wp. but how would i know . badger you re right that a pittance of prize money wont effect the league in anyway, i was just following advice to try it. i think the league should be more friendly and share about more than just halo matches and 1 vent would accomplish that, as well as give members, old and new a place to go. i think rainy's vent is pretty close to that. Anyway, people want the battles screens off the portal? fine. give the thread a while longer and i ll probably change it, even though i disagree with it not being helpful to show that we actual do have halo teams here... gatman - ok |
