fixed* the 9s sort of right though. creation is viewed as a miracle the same way that other means of existence are incalculably improbable. either way its about the same, so theres no real need to split hairs about it. but the arguments and debates are pretty fun. |

How simple it must be to live in your world. The 'purpose of happiness' is one of the most objectionable ever proposed, have you not seen the matrix kid? If all you want is happiness, all you want is to be plugged into a machine which gives it to you. Unless you want to pretend there is some sort of special happiness only achieved through some sort of supernatural action, and every philosopher (Aristotle, Foot etc) who has tried it has failed (because its stupid). |

I don't care about others faith unless they express it like this and are close minded. I question your faith and belief in God because you only use quotes / "facts" from the bible. Some people have faith in God but do not let it affect their morals and values, while others become completely absorbed inside of this pit called religion and let it consume them from the outside in. Did you see Phil Jacksons comments on Jordan? He said watching him made him a believer in choosing your own fate/destiny through hardworking. It's not absurd in the slightest way. How can the post be absurd when it's clearly logical and has a very obvious point. And you're right about not knowing your personal beliefs, but you represent them every time you post something like this. Ignorant view on Christ? Maybe you are the ignorant one. You believe in Jesus Christ, the son of God. Yet there have been many people in history born by the name of Jesus. Yes there was a person called Jesus at one point, and there was quite possibly a following the man had. But first person views written on paper do not mean the persons views were real, true, or factual. The bible is filled with valuable knowledge of morals and values, but it doesn't mean the morals and values must be corrupted by the church or false religious pretenses. The bible in our generation is made to appeal to all types of crowds, yet they're all focused on some form of religion or belief system. Why not just have faith in yourself? Is it too easy and logical that one must look to a higher being in hopes of achieving access to knowledge and a spot in the "afterlife" ?? |

I never said life was solely based on worshiping a deity....I simply said I BELIEVE IN GOD.. lol...so chillout honky breath... You said that believing in God is a very simple "life" in finding myself........well what if I told you it's truly not.... You're assuming I'm happy because I have religion, but some aspects of religion are contradictory and it raises suspicion... So I'm open to all reasonable logic... I'm still trying to derive what life actually is.... then again, I'm pretty sure you do not enjoy living life in a depressive setting....I can guarantee that.. We all know you want to be happy and you're finding the path to achieve it, which is why you're doing what you're doing....it wouldn't make sense to have any incentive to do anything to make yourself miserable.... that happiness statement can be applied to atheists pretty damn well, because you guys chase aspects in life.....it means nothing to me, and not because of after life...but because there's too many other horrible ideologies/phenomena to worry about....we live in a selfishly manipulated world...nobody gives a fuck about anybody else's issues.. the difference between me and you.........I don't fear death and most importantly any shortcomings in life...I don't care about this life because it's way to complicated to even fathom it's existence...I can't necessarily say the same for you....
