Leading the league in scoring means nothing as nobody would take Durant over these two |

i'm fucking sick of hearing this debate...new question who would win in a 2 on 2 MJ and Pippen vs Lebron and Wade i think its hands down mj and pippen via rape.. ps- watching lebron james this season has been unreal. dude has taken his game to another level. Edited by Trapt, Feb 18 2013, 12:12 AM.

Reading this article MJ/Pippen take it so easy. Pippen was soo good. Came close to winning 2 rings without Jordan. Edited by Erosion, Feb 18 2013, 12:30 AM.

basketball players are notoriously horrible at analyzing the game. but hey, if that's the weak argument you want to fall back on because you have nothing else, be my guest. |

oh, and do you really think it's a surprise MJ would say Kobe is better? Kobe has practically emulated everything about Jordan, including his mannerisms, and the only thing he really hasn't emulated is the scoring efficiency. Kobe is an inferior MJ, but LeBron is still better than Kobe has ever been. |

Sam Jones has 10 rings, so Sam Jones is better than Kobe by your logic...you really want to use that? I'm sure you'll counter with "that's not fair, it only works when I decide who to apply it to" |

from my pov, lebron > kobe atm if kobe is at his prime, hed be better if lebron keeps getting better, he can beat kobes prime at the rate hes goin at. @ remedy: alot of the basketball players who are working for sports networks were the ones who analyze the game after they retire. the rest of the remaining few are nerds who just memorize stats and dish em out like a ESPN recap Edited by Osama Bin Laggin, Feb 18 2013, 02:19 AM.

"Lebron is the best since Jordan" Real? What the fuck... Lebron is just athletic as fuck, but Kobe has the whole package. Comparing Kobe to Lebron is like comparing Michael Jordan to brian scalabrine. Pls stahp ;_; Edited by boots, Feb 18 2013, 03:11 AM.

Kobe can have the whole package, but LeBron is still the better player, and has no real weakness besides 3 point shooting (takes a large amount unassisted iirc around 60%), and FT%. |

LeBron has already beat Kobe's prime across the board, and it's questionable if LeBron has even peaked yet. those players will typically just talk about narrative on TNT or ESPN. I can't recall the last player I've seen on TV who knew what they were talking about. |

just for fun facts because you're a casual fan who likes raw PPG instead of real impact here are Kobe's 2006 statistics. 35.4/4.5/5.3 on 45/35/85 for 56%TS. That's +2% on league average, but he was taking 27 shots a game for 35 points, drawing fouls at an okay rate (10 a game, but when you're taking 27 shots that isn't that great), and sported an UNGODLY high USG% (38.7). For some context, first options generally will hang around ~28-30+, but usually never exceeding 32. That kind of USG% is not conductive to playing within a team. LeBron this year is posting 27.3/8.2/6.9 on 57/42/74 for 63%TS. That's +10% on league average, and he's taking a career low amount of shots at 18.4 a game. LeBron isn't making a living at the line either, with the lowest amount of FTA/s after his rookie year. 30.1 USG% im sorry, what argument does Kobe have again? I won't even get into LeBron's on/off statistics. |

the stage is set for LJ to be the greatest.. he already has a headstart on MJ by getting a ring a year before the legend jordan.. I think peoples hatred for lebron blinds them of his greatness.. Kobe would get shitted on in a 1 on 1 Kobes a legend as well, but Lebron is the king.. Id take Lebron on my team over Kobe And im not a heat fan, but you gotta respect greatness |
