Survived a terrible game from Paul George and a damn solid game from Miami's xfactors, Joey Crawford and Derrick Stafford. The fact that 3 officials missed a shot CLEARLY hitting the back iron and allow LeBron, Wade, and Spoelstra to run wild all over the court complaining about calls but instantly T up Vogel for the terrible lose ball foul on George. (All I ask for is consistency, first play of the game Hill was in Allen's situation and he got called for the foul, but George gets run into by Allen and Wade, gets the foul) We finally got good Lance tonight and Roy was solid as usual, playing like the best C in the league right now. |

terrible officiating tonight but nonetheless good job by the pacers fighting through and pulling out the w. I'm really starting to become a Hibbert fan after this series. The nba needs more skilled big men. |

As much as I hate this dude because he kills the Pacers, Chalmers is really good. He's money on those short floaters off the glass and he will make you play if you let him shoot a set shot. I'm not sure he's better than Hill (I think they are pretty even honestly), but those two are almost identical. |

It absolutely kills LeBron to talk nicely about Lance Stephenson. He talked shit about him being a nobody last year and the first question he gets asked is about Lance's performance. LeBron is tough to guard period, but he's not able to move Lance like he is with a majority of defenders. The commentators will say that he settled for jump shots but that's because he tried to back down Lance and Lance did not move. Coming into this postseason, Lance's defense was a huge liability. He's done a great job on Wade and LeBron. He's a mid range jump shot away from being a 20ppg player with his ability to create space and get to the rack and finish. |

Team just isn't mentally ready for games like tonight. Got hit hard early in the 3rd and did not adjust. I am never surprised when Lance struggles because he is the ultimate feast or famine player (he got screwed with his last 3 foul calls, especially when you consider the beating he took on his drives to the goal) but Hill disappointed tonight. If we get even an average game from him tonight. We're coming to Indy to close it out. You can't beat the Heat when LeBron is hot and someone else is hot as well (this night it was Haslem) and you perform like we did tonight. My belief is still that the winner of Game 6 wins the series so I am not that concerned with the simple fact that we lost just like I wouldn't have been too excited if we won tonight. If we can rebound from this poor performance and win Saturday, we'll win Monday. And back to Lance, even though his play can drive me crazy, he's the only dude that you can count on to give 100% each game and each play and I respect the hell out of that even when he is shooting 10-40 or whatever he is for the series (He has lost all confidence in his jump shot and as a result he has been trying to adjust it in between games. If you notice on his jump shots, his lower body is turning to the side which is the exact opposite of what it should be doing). His offensive game will round out and he's going to be a phenomenal player going forward. |

Winner of game 5 usually takes the series though. There are rare occurrences where it does not happen (such as the last laker's championship vs the celtics) but this will be hard to overcome especially having to go back to miami. |

Last year's Celtics say hi. (I wouldn't count occurrences from the Finals because the team that's down 3-2 is often the team with 2 home games left and still technically as HCA) I would also be interested to see the numbers on Game 6 winners considering how many series normally end in Game 6. I don't necessarily disagree, but I believe there is/was alot more importance to winning Game 6 for us. This was the type of loss that could snowball into a Game 6 loss because of how well Miami played in the 3rd and how much we struggled in the 2nd half. If we're able to bounce back, adjust to Miami doubling everything on the box, and win Game 6, we'll come into Game 7 with alot of poise and house money. (Even more so than Boston last year because Boston's window to compete was closed if they didnt win last year) I wouldn't expect you to truly understand what I am talking about because obviously I've followed the Pacers much more closely, but their biggest strength and weakness coincidentally this season is their youth. Too many times this year, we have lost games because of bad stretches and guys have gone into long slumps after 1 rough game. This team has fed off the highs and absolutely crumpled with the lows. Like I said, winning Game 6 would be a huge emotional swing for this young team and puts all of the pressure on Miami. If we lose, I won't be surprised because I said the winner of Game 6 would win the series. I expect us to come out fired up, but the quarter I am going to look at is the same one I have focused on the entire series: the 3rd. Win the 3rd and we'll be in great shape to win the game. |

I will agree with you there. Although I have always considered the 3rd the most important quarter in any game |

Coming from a Celtics fan, I can only laugh at you on that one. If I had a nickel for every time I heard/read someone saying that about KG, I would own the Pacers. TL;DR; Hansbrough was more confused, Birdman is an idiot. Pacers learned from last year not to overreact. Heat aren't half as tough as they think they are. I don't see how Hansbrough was "shook" though, more like confused at why Birdman was getting so heated. I am even perplexed because Hansbrough offers guys like Birdman opportunities for easy blocks into the 20th row. It's kind of funny because a Heat beat writer said on the air that he believes Birdman acts like that to try to impress his team mates. No surprise because he is an awful player on either end. Just watch him trying to guard Hibbert in the post, he will give up position and back up trying to create separation to go up and block one of Hibbert's hooks. In regards to his offense, Joel Anthony will easily fill the same role of sitting on the baseline and waiting to crash the boards. The Pacers learned from their mistakes last year when they would hurt themselves with unwarranted technicals and flagrant fouls against the Heat. (I mean if the ref gives you a technical for standing there and saying nothing when a guy is trying to get in your face, what are you going to do?) I am actually surprised that Tyler wasn't tossed because he did more than Sam Young did to get a technical. It's just funny that the Pacers are classified as being "fake tough" when you have guys like Chalmers starting things with everyone, Haslem starts talking (actually dont have a huge problem with this because he has been the Heat's 2nd best player in this series), LeBron acts all tough until DJ Augustin spears him when setting a screen or until he starts crying to the ref because Lance is talking shit to him, Birdman acting like he just banged a couple lines during pregame introductions, etc. |

Going back to Miami to win this thing. George with 28-8-5, Hibbert with 24-11, Hill 16-6. Hopefully we get West healthy by Monday, but dude was a gamer in the 4th. |
