someone care to look up the contract situations of humphries, wallace, evans, bogans, and shengelia. Hopefully they are all expiring one year contracts. That would make me kinda happy. At least we have one of the best coaches in the nba to entice free agents to come play with us. Wait..what do you mean he's coaching the clippers now? Well then surely having one of the top pg's in the league will bring them in...so you're saying no one likes rajon rondo? That's ok we got Jeff Green all I ever needed.

Wallace will gets 10 mill per year through 2015/16. Humphries will make 12 mill and expire next offseason. Evans 2 mill for next 2. and Doc is not one of the best coaches in the NBA. Check his career before he got the Big 3 and only got 1 ring out of it. Edited by Paul George, Jun 27 2013, 10:20 PM.

No, he's not. Look at his history. Are we going to say Spoelstra is a great coach too? Doc never made it past the first round before the Big 3. I realize that you're still wearing the rosy glasses, so I'll let this one go. |

ya i guess nba superstars just reach out to their gm's to get shitty coaches. But hey what do i know. Oh and being a top canidate to coach the olympic team doesn't mean much either. I mean who cares right? Give me your top 3 coaches then. If it's not Pop, Doc, Thibs then you sir have a hairy vagina that wreaks of salted herring. Edited by Trapt, Jun 27 2013, 10:36 PM.

A top candidate? Just stop there. He's not even a top coach right now in a time where there are very few top coaches. He never could develop talent. The league is starved for coaches and the good ones don't want the USA job. If someone like Thibs, Pop, Phil, etc. wanted it, they would have it if Coach K decided to step away in 2013. He's in a group with D'Antoni and McMillan in the first group of candidates. You're also referencing articles from over a year ago. Chris Paul wanted him? You're reading too much into a report that he was upset that the KG and Rivers to LAC didnt work out. CP3 knows that the Clippers are very limited in how they can upgrade the team because of their salary numbers. Also, I bet that that report mixed around words and meanings to get "Chris Paul wanted Doc" from "Chris said he was disappointed when asked what he thought about the trade falling through". Also, don't underestimate how bad VDN was for that team. Terrible rotations, terrible gameplans/adjustments, just terrible *insert aspect here*. I never said he was shitty also. I just said he's not a good coach. I don't think Vogel is a great coach either. Just because he got out of the players' way and let them do their thing while giving some guidance and won while doing it, does not make him a GREAT coach. There are very few great coaches and I'm not sure if there is a great one in the league right now besides Pop obviously. |

if i didn't have to wake up at 5 am to work tomorrow I would stay and dispute. But since I can't I'm just going to say something completely irrelevant but entirely true. It sucks that the celtics are going through a rebuild but hey at least we will another championship before the pacers ever do. goodnight :) |

Entirely true? How can speculation be true? I must have missed the extreme disturbance in the force when Boston didn't make it out of the first round this year when it was ENTIRELY FACTUAL that they were winning the East. Someone's upset that Boston failed to clean house and cap strapped themselves for the next 4 years without getting any assets in return. Goodnite |

And just figured I would add: Who signs a 5 year contract and then after each season "has to take time away from the team" to decide if he wants to come back or not? This coincidentally also lasted until after it was decided if certain players would be returning/healthy. (KG/KG and Allen/Rondo) |

Makes no sense to trade him. He's 27 and he's one of the best players in the league for the money he is making. You can afford to blow dick this year and try to get Wiggins or maybe Parker (his closest NBA comp is Pierce ironically). I think it makes more sense to move Green ASAP. He's going to be a bad contract in a hurry when he can't feed off of double downs to get off his low release point or when people force him left. Not alot of tape on him last year so he was able to get away with obvious deficiencies. At close to 10 million a year for a wing (the easiest position to replace in the NBA), that's going to be a bad contract. His value will never be higher. I wouldn't be surprised that as a result of the extreme amount of tanking that will be going on this year, if teams like Boston will be reluctant to move franchise guys like Rondo. You get Wiggins and you're right back in the playoffs. |

Mentally preparing myself for the "experts" that will pick the Nets with two aging additions (and NO BENCH whatsoever), the Knicks with no room to improve period because of their cap numbers (Pacers really controlled them in the playoffs), and the Bulls with the uncertainty of Rose (Pacers were almost as good as the Bulls pre-Hibbert/PG breakout), over the Pacers with a young core and 15-18ppg returning to the lineup and guys like Roy, PG, and Lance who can only get better. He's also still a very viable trade piece as an expiring who can net a quality player at or before the deadline. The best starting 5 in the league stats-wise and you add a former allstar who just turned 30 and doesnt rely on athleticism, yet we drop 2-3 spots. It's only late June and I already can't wait for the "What's wrong with the Nets/Bulls/Knicks articles?" on ESPN. |
