You're right I haven't watched the Knicks-Pacers games this season or much Pacer games at all. But JR Smith was 4-15 and Carmelo missed shots that he would usually make. The Pacers played really well but the score was close and JR Smith had an AWFUL game. That is my point. I never said the Pacers were a bad team, I'm stating that the score shouldn't had been so close when JR Smith had missed so many shots. Yes they were nearly all contested shots and the defense had him on lock but JR Smith is expected to do better. Especially in the playoffs. |

the knicks are much better when they're moving the ball around + driving and getting an open 3 for someone. yes the pacers are best in the league at defending at 3 but the knicks must play to their strengths. jr is still very streaky, i think it's just masked this year because they've been winning and he had a very good week where he had 25 pts a game. half of those points were in the paint and on the free throw line. he cannot play iso ball like carmelo and continue to shoot fadeaways. woodson is at fault imo because once he sees jr having an off game he needs to put someone else in. TL;DR: the offense needs to run through felton or pablo. carmelo can play iso ball but jr cannot unless he's on fire which is 1 out of every 5 games. i'm also excited for when amar'e comes back. he will bring some size and strength down low plus relieve some pressure off chandler who has been playing horribly lately and commits stupid fouls. idk what happened from last year but he seriously fell off Edited by Louie, May 5 2013, 08:33 PM.

1) The Pacers did not play that well. 16 Turnovers and horrible shooting games from Hill and PG. Got off to a poor start as well. The only guy who had a really good game was Augustin. The Pacers problems this year have started when the offense gets stagnant and the other team gets hot shooting 20 footers. 2) What shots did Melo miss that he normally makes? By normal, I mean over the course of his career or at least this entire season and not a month-long stretch where he caught fire. It's no coincidence that he and Smith have been struggling after being on such an amazing streak to end the season. The Pacers have length and strength to throw at Melo and Smith. Neither of those guys have been able to get going against the Pacers this year. The Pacers defense is all about running you off the 3 point line and funneling slashers into Hibbert. If Melo and JR want to chuck 20 footers all day, it won't matter if they get hot. All of Melo's drives were heavily contested and all of his jumpers had George right in his face. If he was missing the mid range shots over guys like West where he could dribble to a comfort zone and get in a rhythm without worrying about the contest, you might have more of a case. 3) In what world is JR Smith a proven scorer who is expected to do better?? The dude is a 42% shooter and he takes about 15 shots a game. He's like a taller Nate Robinson. It's not always good for the Knicks when he gets going because then his tunnel vision gets even worse. Earlier in the year against the Pacers, he got going early, then started to cool off and shot is team out of the game. Once again, a nice stretch has warped the casual fan's image of Smith. 4) The 95 points that the Knicks scored today is the most they have scored all year against the Pacers and the most they have scored in this year's playoff so far. The 43 percent shooting is also the best that they have had against the Pacers this year. You can say that they are EXPECTED to do better, but 5 games this season proves that you probably shouldn't bank on it when it comes to the Pacers. The Knicks CAN go off at anytime, but survey says that they'll need more than that to win this series. Finally, neither Melo nor JR Smith have done anything in the playoffs. Smith has always been piggybacking off of Melo and Melo has gotten past the first round twice now. So neither of them should be expected to do alot better because "its playoff time!". tl;dr; Watch the games, JR Smith and Melo aren't who you think they are. |

Aqua relax with the essay typing you diehard Pacers fan jajajajaja. I miss these days :( The 2005-2006 Pistons were better than the current Heat squad. 37-5 start to that season and 4 of the starting 5 made the All-Star team wussssuh. They choked pretty hard in the Eastern finals though. Edited by Skyson, May 5 2013, 11:23 PM.

The Bulls make you play their game. Have to give credit where it's due. This was their best chance to steal one in Miami and they took advantage. |

The Heat probably have the shittiest crowd in the NBA. They presented LeBron's MVP trophy and it was as quiet as a Silkk the Shocker show. |

Even if they get past Golden State, Memphis has always had the Spurs number, even when this roster had younger legs. And like skyson said, someone isn't watching the game. |
