since you are an advocate of disrespecting people based on the way they are, i think you'd jump on the make-fun-of-retards bandwagon as well |

the bucks suck so i root for other teams, i really started becoming a fan of memphis and golden state this offseason but i think memphis is going to come out of the west and probably beat the heat in the finals |

R.I.P. Chicago and OKC (should have been a sweep if Durant doesn't clutch the last couple minutes of Game 1) Maybe, just maybe, people will stop underrating Westbrook's ability as a play-maker for OKC. Jackson has been more than solid in terms of scoring, but outside of 8 assists in G4, he has done nothing to really create or do anything off the bounce (3.5 assists per game, that makes the Pacers point guards look like Nash/CP3). AND It certainly looks like a great decision to choose Kevin Martin (good scorer, but can't create squat for himself or others), Ibaka (12 million for a midrange jump shooter who gets weak-side blocks, and is nothing to write home about in terms of post defense) and Perkins (Got him to guard Dwight, but injuries (best excuse I can think of for him) have made him one of the worst big guys in basketball) over Jeff Green (at worst, he can stroke the open 3) and Harden (playmaking, scoring, anything that takes a load off Durant). (This isn't obviously just an observation from G4 because Ibaka and Martin actually put up decent stats) Hopefully the Westbrook injury doesn't cloud management's view of what needs to be addressed on that team in the off-season. (They have the Raptors lottery pick so I guess that helps) /endrant |

The Bucks were my 2nd team because I have family that lives in the area, but Jennings and Ellis are too much to handle. Agreed on the Memphis out of the West and at least being tough for Miami. The Pacers give the Heat problems because of their size (West and Hibbert) and Memphis has a better combo in Z-Bo and Gasol with good perimeter defenders in Allen and Prince for Wade and LeBron. Just don't know if they can score enough when Miami isn't a slouch on defense and LeBron/Wade/Bosh but mainly LeBron just gets hot. just saw this and laffed a bit: "Melos tombstone will read: Here lies Carmello Anthony --He Finally Passed" Edited by Paul George, May 14 2013, 01:05 AM.

do not defend Green. getting rid of Green was one of the best moves management has made. if Green still played, Harden would not of gotten minutes, and Ibaka's growth would of been stunted too. as far as choosing Ibaka over Harden, I think managements train of thought was that they already had two wings, but only an aging Nick Collison and an injured Perkins up front. IMO if Nick still had a lot of gas left in the tank, they would play him big minutes and get rid of Perkins and resigned Harden. I think asking Harden to accept less than market value when he was the one who had already sacrificed the most was a ignorant decision by Presti, especially if that Simmons rumor about Presti not wanting a trade kicker in Harden's contract if he took a paycut was true. |

Pacers got solid minutes from everyone who played tonight. Only 1 person had a good all-around game (Hill, 9-14 26pts) but PG locked up Melo and sometimes Smith again (Not surprised that his jump shot isn't falling with his hand injury, but we have 4 other guys to score). Hibbert locked down the paint even despite a couple questionable foul calls that I thought should have been blocks and/or jump balls. Nice to see Chandler actually get called for an illegal screen considering he moves on every screen, holding the ball handler's defender every single time. Fortunately, the Pacers have gotten better at getting through screens period and Felton struggled to do anything off the PnR after the 1st. From a Knicks standpoint, I was surprised Smith actually started taking the ball to the basket. It was long overdue but he was able to create some opportunities and helped get Roy in foul trouble. I still don't agree with people's thoughts that he was ever a good shooter. When you're missing wide open 3's that you're stepping into unguarded, you know he's just not mentally there. Maybe being at home and somewhat breaking his slump towards the end of Game 4 will get him on the other side of his 42% avg. It would also help if Copeland could get some more minutes. West doesn't want to guard him 20+ feet from the basket but no, Woodson sticks with Kenyon Martin. I'll be interested to see how Game 5 goes (Will be driving to Houston so I don't know how much of it I will see). The Knicks were focused for Game 4 so I don't expect any difference in how they come out of the gate mentally. The Pacers are probably the most bi-polar team in the league mentally and the Knicks are the most hot/cold team in the league. |

too small of a sample size to make such a judgment, and 45% shooting for a rookie in his first playoff series shows impressive poise and talent. plus, he's a young player, he's bound to get more accurate in the next couple of years. if he keeps developing as a defender he and klay thompson will lock down the perimeter. i'm really rooting for them to beat san antonio, but the spurs have figured out how to solve their backcourt. without the post presence of david lee and a 100% healthy bogut they're too perimeter oriented. jake, i'd LOVE to see a memphis miami finals. yes king shawn, i'm eating my words ;P Edited by connybear, May 15 2013, 12:28 PM.

imo, grizzlies have the best post duo atm and they can take the western conf. and yea i agree with u con, i think the first couple of games were hard on the spurs because they were still figuring them out. curry scored 44 pts the first game, and yesterdays performance was no where near to that. gstate needs to learn to play under pressure and i never understood why marc jackson is alright with curry and thompson taking stupid shots. i mean i understand they are streaky but cmon some of the shots they take...its like they think theyre kobe |

Legs are probably gone. Curry plays heavy minutes as it is and this is his first close to full season and the first playoff run for most of those guys like Thompson, Barnes, even Jack and Landry. And my point about Barnes is that he is at his best when he can spot-up and shoot because his handle isn't there yet. He has been taking lots of bad shots without any sort of offensive rhythm, hence being a volume shooter. The game that Thompson took 26 shots, almost all of them were open/spot-up/in rhythm shots. and a Memphis-Miami final would be like a replay of a Pacers-Heat conference final lol. |

Memphis and Heat final will be boring as fuck to watch, seriously only grizzly & bandwagon heat fans would watch. Spurs vs Heat will be like Old vs Young type of game, flashy superstars vs old serious veterans who will teach the younguns a listen Also it takes 1-2 games before the great GOAT Popovich learns & adapts to the opposing team like an immune system |
