Have any of you gone/participated in a powerlifting meet? I'm going to my first one on Saturday, July 20, 2013. 181 class, 16-17 juniors.

Currently on Taper on Smolov, shits awful and i cry everytime

Here is what I'm going for:

Squat: 385 opener, 425 second, 455 third

Deadlift: 405 opener, 445 second, 475 third.. (maybe 495, but it would be a 20lb PR, lol.)

Bench: 295 opener, 320 second, 335-340 third

you?

PS: those are all state records for my class :D

blade you can post screenshots of you beating people like louie in 1v1s as much as you want (seriosly with your sound, set up, and stopwatch you shouldnt lose a 1v1) but it doesnt change the fact that he is 20x the player you are.

Deadlifts are the best overall workout right next to squats for an average lifter trying to gain strength.

Ask your coach about banded deadlifts / deficit deads. Also, front squats are AMAZING for athletes.

thats really good. i won state in my class at 148s.... 305 bench, 385 deadlift, and a measly 285 squat (back problems, currently undergoing treatment for atrophied interior muscles leading to back problems) is what i remember doing. but bench and deadlift together did enough for me.

but really youre on a good track. given youre not pumping your body full of bad shit. hopefully its mostly good diet and protein shake type stuff... how trim are you?

I'm prob at 15% BF ATM, which isn't bad.

I track my macronutrients/micro.

The reason my bench is so low is because all I do is squat, lol.

Current macros:185protein,75fat,390 carb

trim your ass down to the 163s and start really wrecking the competition. youll probably still have like 4 percent body fat or so.

15% of 180 = 27 pounds of fat

163? will not happen, i'd lose too much strength and plus 4% to maintain for a day/two and lift heavy?? not even professional BB's even get to 4%. they sit at 6%. 5 if they are conditioned as fuckkkk, feathered all over

Anything under 5 is not healthy. I think Floyd Mayweather is at 7% and he is as fit as they get.

cutting from 15%bf to 4% is crazy unless your juicing which is still pretty unheard of especially for a 16/17 yearold

also most likely would lose chitloads of strengh losing all that weight cutting
