 Skunk Works is the R&D or advanced projects arm of Lockeed Martin Corporation, the largest military supplier to the US government,
probably the most advanced and secretive single entity in the world.
They developed the famous SR-71 in the 1960s, still the fasted aircraft ever, though an SR-72 is designed.
They were in the news last month for a 'breakthrough' in a a truck sized fusion reactor.

I know there is some engineering types around here. Plus, it's just good business knowledge in general. Their stock is probably a good investment.
