Well, I know that in his early days of making music Peter Gabriel was told to go back to bricklaying. Maybe he finally took the advice and you can ask him. (hope not!!)

I know a good appliance repairman, garage door repairman, plumber, and mortgage broker. Haven't hooked up with a bricklayer yet. Plan to at some point, or at least a brick ripper-outer for that odd retro fireplace we have in the living room.

Bob, do you know if he does anything like rip out weird brickwork? :P For now we just want an estimate so we can work it into our fixer-up budget. I love our house, but I am NOT fond of the big weird fireplace. It's not the cool old-fashioned kind that you can practically live in. It's just this big ol' bunch of brick that takes up an entire wall and doesn't really serve a purpose. If it wasn't there we could get cool shelving like wot Mr. and Mrs. Triple have in their living room. *sigh*

Hi Steve

Best I know is Nick Leeves. Lives in Blackboys. He and his guys did the brickwork for my extension - I did the rest. Everyone who knows has admired their handiwork. You'll find him by Googling.
