Forum Addict Posts: 2,492 Group: Super mod Member #45 Joined: May 10, 2006	Well, I know we are all disappointed that there is no broadcast this year, but Hastings Rock is still out there in the community and here is proof of that! This May our illustrious head honcho, Nick Thomas, will be judging a Battle of the Bands which is being held on the 5 Sundays during the month. Stevie the landlady of :guitar: :beer: The Marina Fountain :beer: :guitar: , distressed at the absence of our favourite rock station, is making a generous donation to Hastings Rock in return for Nick's services. This is exactly the kind of positive response we need! Other DJ's and committee members will also be helping out and you can help too - just make sure you come down to the Fountain on a Sunday evening and have a great night out while supporting local music and Hastings Rock. Due to the extra work which 2 Bank Holidays in May brings to an already busy boozer, the *Battle of The Bands* at The Marina Fountain will now be held in June. :guitar: Starting Sunday 7th and then every Sunday up to and including the 28th June, after which will be the *Grand Final, to be held on Sunday 5th July* Update on 3rd April; I have now been advised that the final is on Sunday 5th July, not the Tuesday as originally posted Edited by Speed Triple, Apr 3 2009, 11:09 AM.
