:) Unicorns: " It is a monstrous thing, to slay a unicorn. Only one who has nothing to lose, and everything to gain, would commit such a crime. The blood of a unicorn will keep you alive, even if you are an inch from death, but at a terrible price. You have slain something pure and defenceless to save yourself, and you will have but a half-life, a cursed life, from the moment the blood touches your lips." -- Firenze Posted Image Unicorns are the most beautiful magical creatures there are. They are powerfully magical creatures, and it is not an easy task to catch them, so muggles don’t see them. Unicorns have long slender legs, and a pearly white main, and coat that makes even snow look grey. Unicorn blood, (which is used to keep those who have nothing to loose, and everything to gain alive, at a cost that you will only be given a half-life or cursed life), is a silver colour that will shine in the moonlight. Their hoofs are golden and the foals are pure gold in colour, but they turn silver at about 2 years old and only turn pure white at the age of 7. They grow their horns (silver in colour) at 4 years of age. The adult unicorn will only allow women to approach them, but the foals are more trusting and allow men to approach as well, if you can catch them that is. The only parts of the unicorn used in potions are the tail hair and the horn (also unicorn blood is used in a potion that Voldemort created to keep himself alive, kind of like drinking the blood). Posted Image Homework: total of 30 points (bonus for giving me a picture) 1.) What parts of the unicorn can be used in potions? (5 points) 2.) Give me a detailed discription of the unicorn. (8 points) 3.) List the phases the unicorn goes through to reach full adulthood. (5 points) 4.) Why are Unicorns not spotted by muggles? (5 points) 5.) What is the price you will pay if you drink the blood on a unicorn? (7 points) |
