Cottonmouth who was coming up from the Slytherin Dungeon that night new that the whole school was going to be watching so he packed his wand and got reayd for his duel. His fellow Slytherins were encouraging him to do his best and teach this Gryffindor who's really the best Duelist at Hogwarts. When he arrived in the Great Hall he noticed that he was right and half the school had shown up. Even though most of them were in their pajamas and holding their wands up to give off light. Cottonmouth noticed that his opponent was on the other side of a large house table. He, Cottonmouth, stood up on this table and looked down at his opponent. "Are you ready Qman?!" He called down the table, his wand already outstretched and emitting sparks of anticipation. He bowed and waited for his opponent to do the same. |

Quidditchman walked from his office to the Great Hall which was located on the ground floor. He wasn't very nervous as he had been dueling for a very long time. He finally reached the Great Hall and opened the door---he didn't think there would be that many people attending the duel! Quidditchman walked in and faced his opponent, Cottonmouth. He looked at him square in the eye, hoping to intimidate him. He pulled out his 11 inch wand, which was made of mahogany and a phoenix feather, and bowed back at his opponent. "You ready to lose?" thought the Headmaster. He got into his position and held his wand at the ready. Let this begin! |

Cottonmouth merely smirked, those Gryffindors sure do have confidence, he thought and he laughed on the inside. He watched and was pleased to see that this Gryffindor had honor before and duel, and at least bowed to him. He was definately ready for this duel and as he got into his dueling stance and perpared to face Qman, he muttered under his breath, "Lets hope they miss you!" Suddenly very quickly he yelled in a cool, quick voice, "Tarantallegra!" and watched as the silver spell flew past him towards his opponent. |

Quidditchman acknowledged his opponent's bow and got ready for whatever was coming at him. Surely the little Slytherin couldn't do much harm. He grinned at the thought of that. The Headmaster heard cottonmouth yell the leg locking spell and was ready. He quickly yelled "PROTEGO!" He was anxious to see what happened with his opponent's spell. Quidditchman thought that a shielding spell wasn't enough for his fiesty opponent. Less than a second after he yell Protego, he pointed his wand at his opponent and yelled, "FURNUNCULUS!" If the spell worked correctly, his opponent would start having pimples pop up on him. Quidditchman took a couple of steps back and waited. He thought, "What would happen next? Will I be ready?" I guess he will find out soon enough! |

Cottonmouth who had been so confident before; was less so, for when Quidditchman had sent to him the pimple hex towards he could not get out of the way quick enough. Immediately a terrible sensation came over cottonmouth as his face felt as though his face were swelling up with bruises or boils. But it was merely the pimples, which were terrible thick red boils, spreading rapidly down the sides of his face. He wanted to scream at what Quidditchman had done to his perfect face, but instead in his anger he raised his wand and yelped, "Serpensortia!" Hoping against hope that a large black serpent that had issued from his wand would be able to hold off his opponent while he tried to use a counter hex on his face to rid himself of these horrible pimples. |

Quidditchman stared at the horrific serpent that slithered out of Cottonmouth's wand. He, too, was now not near as confident as before. The snake slowly creeped towards him and finally bit him. There was no escaping this snake. The Headmaster frantically thought of a way to rid himself of the spell's effects and finally remembered... "Finite Incantatum!" Hopefully, the pain from the terrifiying snake would be gone. Quidditchman was now fuming with anger. "A snake, eh?" he thought to himself. "I'll show you...!" Just at that Quidditchman looked up at the ceiling and sawy the glass chandelier hanging there was a rope. He looked up at it and yelled, "DIFFINDO!" If Quidditchman's plan worked correctly, the chandelier would fall on his opponent or shatter in front of him. He was hoping he was successful! |

While Qman was busy dealing with the black serpent which Cottonmouth had sent his way. Cottonmouth was trying to get rid of the horrible pimples that he had sent in his previous duel. When he rejoined the duel he noticed that Qman had gotten rid of his serpent and was now conceiving a plan of attack. Cottonmouth who's face was alot better than it had been before looked around at what his opponent was doing and could think only of finding some way of stopping Qman from using the chandelier. Cottonmouth however let down his guard and with a swish and flick of his wand he muttered, "Windargium Leviosa!" In a powerful stroke the Chandelier didn't hit cottonmouth instead he was able to hold the chandelier up. Realizing that he wouldn't be able to hold the chandelier up with the common charm, he moved it with a movement of his wand and sent it towards the other end of the table, hopefully it would teach the Gryffindor not to send such heavy objects his way. |

Quidditchman thought nothing could stop his plan, but then he saw his chandelier flying at him. He quickly dove out of the way of it. Quidditchman launched yet another spell at his opponent. He yelled very loudly, "PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!" He was sure this one would hit his opponent! Quidditchman frantically thought of another spell to throw at Cottonmouth. He finally thought of a good one... "SILENCIO!" If this worked correctly, then Cottonmouth would not be able to speak until someone got rid of it with a countercurse. Quidditchman walked back to his end of the table, standing there waiting for his opponent's moves. He thought he easily had this match won... |

Cottonmouth watched as the large chandelier came crashing down only inches away from where his opponent once stood. The excitement of it all made cottonmouth forget that he was in a duel and he was nearly blind sided from Quidditchmans hex. "Finite!" cottonmouth called and as the body blind hex came towards him it vanished in a wisp of smoke. Cottonmouth who had thought that he had won turned to face his opponent but Quidditchman had already sent his Silence charm and Cottonmouth was hit in the face. He fell back feeling it hit his face and slowly he got back to his feet. With this new charm in his lungs he had no voice and could only think of one thing to use in a duel like this. He turned to face quidditchman who was backing away and with a strange arm movement erupting from his wand was a Brilliant purple flame... |

Quidditchman felt satisfied with his attack. He was feeling very confident, but just as he had that feeling, a weird purple flame started coming at him. He did not want to know what it was so he quickly dodged it. It still grazed him a bit though and it hurt. He couldn't tell what the purpose of the spell was. While in pain, Quidditchman thought of a new spell to use. It came to him very quickly. "RICTUSEMPRA!" His yell echoed throughout the Great Hall. When used correctly, the Rictusempra spell would tickle their opponent until he falls on the floor laughing! Just in case his tickling spell wasn't enough, he yelled, "STUPEFY!" That yell was not as loud as his previous one, but still hurt a few people's ears. If his planned work, Cottonmouth would be hit by the tickling spell and would be distracted, so the stunning spell woould hit him and the match would be over. |

(Sorry if I haven't been on much I've had work and Homework I had to take care of first!) Cottonmouth who had stood watching his great Purple beam of light takes its course down towards his opponent was surprised by Quidditchman's next attack. Before he knew it he had dropped to his knees in laughter. He could slowly feel his voice which had vanished...slowly return to his throat. But as he was about to celebrate. Quidditchman's next attack came swiftly towards him, forcing Cottonmouth to dodge out of its way. The red stunner looked almost menacing. As it passed and cottonmouth rolled over. He quickly drew his wand and in a commanding voice he called, "Expelliarmus!" |

(No problem. Real life always comes first.) Quidditchman grinned in satisfaction when his opponent doubled over in laughter. As soon as Cottonmouth had regained focus, he shot the disarming spell at Quidditchman. He was not prepared at all. His wand quickly flew out of his hand. As Quidditchman frantically searched for his wand, he had an idea. He muttered someting and red sparks flew out the end of his wand. Now he knew where it was. He ran over to the end of the table and snatched it up.Now, it was his turn... The Headmaster thought of a spell very quickly. He concentrated very hard on his opponent and shouted, "STUPEFY!" He was sure that this time it would successfully stun his opponent. He was also ready for any counterattack by Cottonmouth. He did wonder though, what would his opponent's next move be? (how long should we keep this going?) |

(When do you want to stop? Its up to you!) Cottonmouth who knew that his last attack was only going to give him enough time to stand up and face his opponent. He looked and saw that his opponent Quidditchman was a very powerful duelist and didn't want to allow his to achieve his victory unscathed. But just as he was thinking his next move Quidditchman sent a Stunner his way, Cottonmouth knew that saying a spell this close wouldn't work and tried to dodge it only to be grazed. The force of the spell though was powerful enough to nearly knock him off of the table. "Reducto!" He bellowed; cottonmouth knew that was to blast solid objects out of the way, but also knew that Quidditchman wouldn't be stupid enough to stand in its way. Just to make sure that his opponent felt the rath of Slytherin he pointed his want at Quidditchmans face and called, "Densaugeo!" hopefull his opponent would be distracted enough and will get hit with this little hex, which will make his front teeth grow excruciatingly large and wouldn't be able to duel anymore. |

Quidditchman stood there watching his opponent's spell close in on him. Cottonmouth was right, he was not stupid enough to stand in it's way. He quickly dodged it before it got him. He forgot about the other spell Cottonmouth sent and it hit him square in the mouth. His teeth started growing very large. Quidditchman quickly raised his wand and shouted, "FINITE INCANTATUM!" His teeth stopped growing. However, his teeth had already grown about an inch or so. But that did not stop him from dueling. He would not go down that easily. The Headmaster thought of a new spell. He yelled, "CONJUNCTIVITIS!" If his spell worked, it would hit his eyes and make him temporarily blind. He would not be able to duel anymore. "This time, I have it won," Quidditchman thought. He stood there with his big teeth and looked on. (We can stop after we each go one more time) |

Cottonmouth howled with laughter as he saw Quidditchman struggle to deal with his new found teeth. They were huge and very funny to look at but just as he was about to celebrate his victory he saw Qman sent the 'CONJUNCTIVITIS' curse his way and immediately reacted. "RICTUSEMPRA!" hopefully the two spell would hit in mad air and would cancel each other out. But just to make sure that his opponent didn't try that again he thought that he would send a familiar curse his way and perhaps he would learn from his mistakes. Cottonmouth raised his way and mouthed the words because he didn't want Quidditchman to hear them, for they were the dark arts. Shooting from Cottonmouths wand was a very large Purple flame that hissed its way towards his opponent. At last Cottonmouth was more than confident that he would win. This Headmaster doesn't have a future; cottonmouth thought. |
