Error

Mist swirls and parts before you as your footsteps echo along the side walk, your destination that of the House of Lomax. Soon the great walls surrounding the Lomax estate loom before you, a massive wrought iron gate, heavily chained and padlocked, engraved with runes and protected by the deepest of the light and dark magics bar you from your destination. Attached to the gate by barbed wire is a severed and rotting arm, the fleshy fingers and bones clutching a hand carved sign that is smeared with blood. Carved into the wood are the words:

"Be ye kinsman, we bid thee welcome home. Be ye friends, we give thee rest and refuge. Be ye enemies . . . . Pray the chainsaw is out of gas."

Slowly you back away from the gates, your senses amplified at the sound of rustling in the nearby trees and bushes. You spot shadows darker than the surrounding night and tremble at three pairs of glowing eyes seeming to come from three heads and one body, the unmistakable scent of wet dog and rotting corpse wafting across the breeze. You hear the soft sounds resembling hissing steam, seeing three long tendrils of mist ooze out of the shadows followed closely by a deep and malicious growl. The eyes narrow and lock onto your retreating form, freezing you in place. All senses tell you to seek out Abagail to gain access beyond the demon dog in the shadows and the death laden gates. You pray to whatever gods you choose that her pet Cerberus has already had his fill of kibble today.
