I must say that Sniper drones are taking away my love of anti-marine crisis suits. these things are great at just killing marines, even though it is a bit expensive for four models, those four models kill about 10 marines over 6 turns, which is amazing for 80 points. Plus, they'll probably survive, thanks to the stealth field. The best part is that my heavy support still has an extra slot to be filled :)
Cheers!

I was thinking about adding some snipers to my Cadre. Hmm... they sound pretty good...

I'm thinking maybe get 2 teams of sniper drones (3 teams fill up 1 Heavy slot) since they would then be worth as much as my broadsides...therefore, depending on my opponent I could make switch.

2 mobilebroadside (ASS upgrade), or 6 sniper drones, or 1 Mobile broadside and 3 sniper drones....overall nice combos.

Anything that kills marines is sweet by me. I loathe those power-armoured buggers. Actually, any army NOT based on killing marines is kind of pointless.... there are SOOO many players with them.

I love their aesthetic. I still haven't been able to figure out if a spotter is a Shas'ui or a Shas'la...

I'd assume that the spotter would be at least a Shas'Ui. Shas'La are too inexperianced to opperate on their own.
Incidentally, if you don't like the drone astetic, 3 Pathfinders w/ Rail Rifle and a Pathfinder Shas'Ui make a nice 'counts-as' Sniper team

I love my sniper drones. they keep kiling things with 3+ saves every time I field them. The only thing I tend to dislike is, that its yet another anti infantry unit and I always field enough of those (Fire warriors, stealthsuits, crisis suits), so sometimes I need to abandon my drones for more anti-tank power.

....more antitank power? How much armour do you see in an average game, most of my group like to go all troop or VERY little armour due to the fact that most armies esp. Tau can pop them easy... take things that kill Marines!!!

Did i mention I hate Marines?

In holland they do tend to take more transports/tanks/dreadnoughts etc. So my hammerhead can use some backup with killing armour. Besides, I never know what I'm up against, so I tend to take at least some anti-armour firepower, most of the times costing me my sniper drones...

take crisis suits with TL missile pods if you need anti-tank, or some deepstriking sunforges

I never take twin linked weapons on crisis suits, except for the suicide Bob config (TL fusion blaster + targetting array, using deepstrike)
Otherwise I always use a missile pod on my suits for antitanks/light verhicle/T3 infantry

They're really unreliable and 5th edition has only made them worse, with 4+ cover save fouling up your hits.

Frankly, you have better uses for your Heavy Support slots, and those points could be used elsewhere too. The BS4 markerlight on the spotter is nice, but so is a Hammerhead with a railgun.
