How would you make Gue'vesa? I know there is a guide to it in the conversions section of the website, but I am curious to see if there are any other creative ideas for armoring, painting, or specializing humans under the Tau.

Personally, I'm planning to get Fire warrior torso of eBay and use a Cadian Imperial guard box to build my Gue'vesa.

Ok it,s not very imaginative but should be cool, I'll also be using some Tau shoulder pad maybe some legs (after switching feet). I'll be using the Human head, arm and lasgun for them ost part though.

That seems to be the common idea, but on a different (and even less creative) string, would the Tau even provide them with their armor, and would it fit the humans? I am sure that this is just due to lack of time or 3D models, but at the end of the DoW:DC campaign you can see many Gue'vesa, and basically their armor is the same, just different colored. Maybe you could have a Tau symbol stamped over their own, different colored armor, or other minor changes to paintjob rather than a full armor change? Just a suggestion for those with less time or budget. :)

Well true...you could keep their regular armour, maybe add some leg and arm protection with some Green Stuff...I guess it's a matter of taste and time.

how many gue'vesa do you want. If you buy a box of guardsmen and fire warriors, you could get 24 gue'vesa out of it at least.
Cheers!

as shown on my army list 6 for my 500 point, 12 for my 1500 point.

That,s why I want to use a Cadian box with Torso from eBay...or might use the leftover from my Ethereal Honor Guard.

Then again as soon as the new 4th Edition Imperial Guard Codex (I know...it could be a while), I'll be building a 1500 point armoured IG army to play with my Tau :D

Well what I did to make up my Gue'vesa was to buy a few sprues of Cadians, a Fire Warrior box, and some sprues of Catachans. This gives a pretty good mix of parts you can use. From there I just let my imagination run wild, I mean I just thought of I highly diverse squad that is extremely specialized. For instance, I converted one guy to be holding a gas can, for those instances you might need to set something on fire to get through :D Ya give everyone a special role and you'll have a sweet squad. My squad of 12 guys took me about 5 hours to put together and fully convert, of course it was my 1st conversion attempt. Hope I could help!!
