Hello I would like to know your opinions about which H.S. is better, Hammerhead or Sky Ray (just forget the Broadside for one second). I'm new in the game, so I want some comments about it Thanks! |

if you want just power, take a hammerhead. the skyray has a learning curve that is fairly steep. It's a balance of whether you launch all the seekers at once to nuke a squad or use them 1-2 at a time when the need arises. But take the one that looks cooler to you, and try it out, then the other one, and see once you've tried it out what to do. Cheers! P.S. welcome to the forums |

I'll also add that, while the Hammerhead (specifically the Railhead) is, at first glance, the better anti-tank platform, the Skyray has the ability to kill twice as many vehicles per turn. Where the Hammerhead (railhead) trumps the Ray is in anti-infantry applications. |

The devil fish isn't optional is it? you've pretty much got to take one with pathfinders, it's the one thing puting me off them for a static army, that an the fact they get wasted if you postion them too far forward Is the '2 seeker missiles per vehicle' limited to just one vehicle, or can you put 2 on every vehicle? if you can the sky ray seems a bit pointless |

Yes, the Devil fish is mandatory for the pathfinder. I kind of like the Hammerhead...with the option of ammmo for yuor railgun gives you a bit more flexibility. |

yes you can put to on every vehicle, so it does make the skyray seem a bit redundant, but most people get it for the mobile markerlights. I personally say it's useless, and that patience and clever deployment of pathfinders solves any problem. That being said, a hammerhead with a railgun is better than a skyray anyday. Much more versatile, plus people hate railguns

It really depends. Hammerhead; Pros: Long-range, secondary fire helps when killing infantry, main gun is more powerful Con's; Stunned/shaken robs it of any firepower Skyray; Pros's: Two networked BS4 markerlights on an AV13 skimmer , it's seeker missile have unlimited range (any unit with a markerlight can call in a salvo from it, can fire seekers even while stunned/shaken (all you need is a markerlight on the target)Con's; Limited ammunition supply, kinda useless after you've used all the seeker missiles |
