SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Art will imitate life when Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger spends a few hours playing himself later this year in a movie by Sylvester Stallone. Stallone's publicist, Sheryl Main, revealed more details Tuesday of Schwarzenegger's rare big-screen appearance. The governor said he has done just three cameos for friends since becoming governor in 2003. Shooting on the film, "The Expendables," will begin March 28 in Brazil and move to New Orleans for two months. Main says the governor will shoot his scene in Los Angeles. His role will be a familiar one: California governor. Stallone writes, directs and stars in the movie, a film about a group of mercenaries trying to overthrow a South American dictator. It also stars Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke and Forest Whitaker. Copyright 2009 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. To be fair, he's a complete dick as governer (he's as environmentally friendly as salt rain on the planet of the slugs), but at the same time, he is crap in the films he was in when he was YOUNGER, for god sake. Looks like he's going to stick to that"I'll be back" quote, though.... |

Here's one little question I have about his status. If you watched a number of films featuring Schwarzenegger, you'd notice a bit of a connection between his characters. The Terminator series: Bloodthirsty killer android. Predator: Large-gun toting marine. I don't think any of his films have featured him playing a successful political role..... Unless you count his The Simpsons counterpart, McBain...but then, even in that he just got manipulated. I would never have voted to have him in power. It sounds to me like it's a little publicity stunt for the people of California. "Hey, come to California! The Terminator is our governor!" |

Yeah he should be concerntrating on important governor things like stopping gay people getting married. And heres a scary fact: THREE of the actors from predator ran for govenor and two were elected.
