"Whilst not as lamentably bad as Demons, it is basically a showcase for CGI dinosaurs and a member of S-Club in her pants."

At last, a reviewperson who understands its blatent crappiness!

I don't believe you've ever actually watched it.

And the reviewer seems a little biased, don't you think? I quite like the Captain Becker fellow. Everybody else is going by the 'don't shoot people, it's bad' rules, and just using tranquilisers, while he decides to go shooting this weird fat guy.
You can't really read one review for one episode then judge the whole series. At least watch it.

And Demons is pretty bad. I still watched it though.

Well. Tried to. I got bored of the main character's stupidity. At least in Primeval they don't fall for all the little tricks.

Actually, Con, I'd never seen it before. Harry Hill finished and there it was so, like a fool, I thought I'd watch it.....

It was so unbelieveably bad that it not only had a premise and script written by a four year old but also the unique quality of ripping off things people laugh at anyway! Stargate, Torchwood (not as much as I thought it would, mind), Predator, Alien, SCOOBY FUCKING DOO AND NIGEL MARVIN FOR GODSAKE! Hasn't the whole bloody "haunted house" thing been done enough, now? I can think of at least 4 old episodes of Doctor Who that did this, and two of them were shite anyway.

And are you trying to say it isn't cheesy? "Where there's an anomaly there's a myth!" The script is bad, the science is bad and worst of all it nicks its plots off of shows that were endearing for having those very flaws. Admit it, it's fucking awful....

The monster in it last time looked like Dobby on crack.
I was gonna watch Demons until saw the guy's name in it was Luke Van Helsing. I mean, that is seriosly shit.

Demons is about the most recent member of the Van Helsing family.

It'd be a little strange if the main character wasn't named Van Helsing.

Yeah, but Luke Van Helsing sounds stupid. They could have changed it a little bit so it sounded kinda like Van Helsing but wasn't.

^o) How about quit milking a cliche and do something original. Oh, I'm sorry, it's ITV....

It just sounds childish. It's the equivalent of some guy in 50 years time doing a crappy, low-rent TV story about Robert Skywalker, the latest Jedi living in Moss Side, Manchester. It's retarded and shite.

I was gonna say I'm not the one getting paid to come up with ideas, but as Cai said, neither are the people that came up with demons.
Although I'm not having a go at the programme itself, I'm having a go at the name Luke Van Helsing.

Come on Loz, you know you want to; there's roadkill with more life to it than an ITV family drama!

Demons is indeed terrible. The episode with the harpy just made me ill.

Primeval is a repaint. Yes. You read that right. It is a repaint of other things. Same engine, but different animation models. It's like replacing the characters of Transformers: Energon with 3D Care Bears, and calling it a new series.

Some people would prefer it as Transformers, and others would like the new Care Bear saga.
It's all a matter of personal preference. :)

Also, the last episode sucked fairly badly. The only ones I really liked involved the introduction of those weird future guys that looked like Genestealers.

I would be having a go but I've never watched either of them, so I'lll have to stick to poor old Luke.

"...future guys that look like Genestealers..."

I don't even have to point out the rip-off.

The thing is like the Digimon of Saturday Night TV. It takes something popular and at least sort of entertaining then screws it up and turns it into the worst possible kind of derivative slush imaginable.

And if there is anything worse than Billie Piper being called in to "keep the dads watching" (and to be fair, is anything worse than that?), then it has to be the person out of S-Club being used to the same effect. At least Russel made sure he didn't make us watch her strutting around in pants becauseof all the bugs she keeps at home. Captain Jack, however....
