And if there is anything worse than Billie Piper being called in to "keep the dads watching" (and to be fair, is anything worse than that?), then it has to be the person out of S-Club being used to the same effect. At least Russel made sure he didn't make us watch her strutting around in pants becauseof all the bugs she keeps at home. Captain Jack, however....

True but everything does that :-/ You'd be hard pressed to find a successful (or unseccessful tbh) film without an attractive young woman in it.
And am I the only one who thought Billie Piper/Rose Tyler was alright?

Actually, compared to the other two, that is a point. I mean, I quite like Catherine Tate in her own show but in DW she was awful. I can never remember that Martha one, so enough said there, really.

I don't really know if it's counted as successful or unsuccessful but Withnail springs to mind, although bar that I see what you mean.... Nevertheless, what I meant was at least in Doctor Who they don't have some bizarre, half-arsed reason for anyones revealing appearence. Afterall, Russell needs SOME new material for Torchwood!

"...future guys that look like Genestealers..."

I don't even have to point out the rip-off.

The thing is like the Digimon of Saturday Night TV. It takes something popular and at least sort of entertaining then screws it up and turns it into the worst possible kind of derivative slush imaginable.

Because I already pointed it out.

And do I have to point this out AGAIN? Digimon was created before Pokémon, so if you wanna play that game, it makes Pokémon the rip-off. ^_^

She was in her pants......?

Not this week, admittedly.

I'm not saying you made the Digimon-Pokemon thing up but I'd quite like to see somewhere where it claims this....

Actually, now I look at it, the animated series of Pokemon began before the animated series of Digimon, but after its initial creation.
It started as a virtual pet thing, then they made a series based on it. Pokemon was an anime from the start.
Interestingly, the Digimon virtual pet came out just a few months before Pokemon.

So they ripped off that Tamagotchi thing, did something completely different to the game / series of Pokemon, then when it became successful ripped off that too....

 Oh well. It's all just Godzilla for kids anyway....

And that episode of Primeval managed to suck as well. I hate the filler eps. They always suck.

I didn't see it, but I'll keep an eye out for a review or summary or whatever.

I can summarise it. A lot of the twists were designed for people who watched the first two seasons, though.
Cutter's ex-wife, who can manipulate the anomalies, went to the future and got some cloning tech. Used it to clone this guy loads. It was a big conspiracy in the second season, since they kept seeing the same cleaner eveywhere.
But, she arms them, and uses a clone of Cutter to open the ARC gates. At this point, the team are off at a hospital, trying to catch these cute little rat things.
Anyway, there's a surprise attack and every got taken hostage.
The dudes get back from the hospital, and the badass security guy, Captain Becker (is it?), goes to criticise the security staff for leaving the door open.
Connor and Abby get thrown in the room with the other main characters, and Helen, Cutter's ex wife, drags him off to gloat.
The badass kills a few of the Cleaners, then goes into the room with the other characters, who, when hearing Helen give her commands to the clone, have done some audio trickery, you know, rearranging her words from a video transmission, to give the command for the Cleaners to just stop and do nothing.
Cpt Badass and Connor go and find a computer with access to the ARC PA, and have a bit of a double-team on a Cleaner. Of course, Badass kicks shit through him and Connor lets everyone see he can't punch.
Well, Connor runs the sound through the PA system, and the Cleaners just stop.
Helen fucks off somewhere, and Cutter is left with his clone. Despite repeated assurances that only her voice will have an effect on the clones, Cutter keeps trying.
Helen, presumably offscreen has rigged a bomb in the centre room, and it's supposed to explode. It's about to go off, and the clone still has a gun pointed at Cutter, to make sure he doesn't run.

The clone, after some persuasion, says 'Save yourself', and Cutter escapes. Then the bomb explodes, and the ARC is pretty much fucked.

Cutter goes back inside to find Helen, but hides the weird artefact she'd brought with her. Before he can get her to leave, she shoots him. Connor goes running in to try to find Cutter, and finds him slumped against the wall. Then sits with him till he dies, because Cutter insisted that he didn't try to move him. Sooo, Connor takes Cutter's body outside, and everyone has a big crying fest.

Personally, I think it was the clone. For some reason. Maybe the fact that they had the clone and would have felt the need to use it more.

Sounds kind of like you have a point. From what I can see, it's the only real purpose of having the clone as a plot device...

So instead of monsters, they are fighting killer janitors? That is right, isn't it? Killer janitors?

:$ I suppose they could really clean you up in a fight. I mean, you'd have to be mopped off the floor. If you ask me, a battle with them sounds like taking the plunge.

 I'll stop now...
