Diversity Day, Anyone?

Just seeing if anyone fancies helping me out with something for Diversity Day. I might try and get some people together to play some of (the still unrecorded due to lack of equipment) Candles on Jupiter stuff. I know no-one here will go apeshit over the material, but a stageshow or theatrics could be nice if anyone wants to contribute.

It's basically half improv anyway; Starts off with a capella haiku (I need a singer....), then the first bit of music is ambient, so as long as people know the key it's in free time and thus pretty easy to jam to (normally my previously looped synth playing Tristian chords and me on the organ, but I'd like a wind or strings player for live improv and the opportunity to mess around more). Then a bit of tritone based jazz metal (all written down with the help of the online Goodar chord thing (http://www.gootar.com/piano/)) and finally onto a big orchestral string synth nob off (a la King Crimson) with lyrics about the apocalypse and the phosphotic process of Eutrophication.... Yeah...

It'll probably bore the shit out of most people, but the sheer pretension of it should get attention. Will post up the chord charts in a bit...

Statues

Well, here's the last one. You can see the tab is in the formation of keys on a piano, right? The circles are the ones depressed to sound the chords.... This first bit is just a chord dictionary for song, the actual progressions are down with the lyrics.....

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
Malnourished garden ponds,
Scant of fishes.
Cats scratch at doorways,
Shattered to splinters.
Cold ashes fertilise,
Wild flowerbeds,
All over England,
Nuclear winter's
Wake.

Verse 2:
Lovers at lakeside,
Loll in the light of,
Brilliant fusion,
Atomic starbright.
Sillhouette statues,
Greet solemn flame rays.
Now for the first time,
Dawn heralds end of
Days.

Middle Eight:
If you see as I see (Repeated ad lib until....)
You lie (Attached to first chord of riff).

Well, first song I can prove I wrote on Iacon....

Sorry, Con, missed the question.

Well, the Haiku is just spoken, so I'll give the vocalist the lines and rough music and hey presto, that's done. The ambient bit is improvised over a loop that I recorded ages ago, so as long as the solo-ist is good enough I can send them it as a file over e-mail (synth has a USB; yey!) and they can practice their improv whilst I practice some extra effects over the top. That essentially leaves two to rehearse.

Cold Fusion is BY FAR the hardest one due to the speed of the "Devil's Interval" bit. Even though I wrote it it's the only one I didn't mean to record onto said album because it isn't originally synth only; It actually needs two guitarists. The chords are fairly easy standard jazz cycles (9th, 11th, 13th) with the 11th changing to a tritone every other cycle, but the tritone guitar solo (I wrote it on a synth with the "Overdrive" knob at max) is a bit demanding. That said, I think we'll find someone quick enough.... Anyway, that's the one I'll need to try and blag the hall for. To be fair, it isn't the one I really want to do, I just think people will prefer it because it bears a rough resemblance to a piece of "rock" music....

Statues is basically firmly led by string synth, with fuck all for anyone else to really worry about. One rehearsel should be OK if I send another play along message, since they only have to paly one note to each chord.

So the answer is if I can get people to do it we'll have to blag a couple of hours in the hall, the rest is all pretty self explanatory....
