Aside from, yes, a good number of "new areas in the world", there are quest chains and their little histories,
I didn't care for the story I was getting from the game. It was pretty forgettable, to be honest. Although I did read everything about the quests I was doing before I did them, I tended to be doing several of them at once. Usually by the time I finished one quest, I had forgotten why I was doing it, and had to go back to the quest scroll to remind myself.

rollin' around with fellows you see completing the same quests you are in the the "new areas of the world",

See, I got a lot of that in that first 20 levels. But then around level 20 and above was when people began to align themselves with guilds, and most of the people I met went to different guilds than I did. So we basically lost touch. And although I met new people through my guild, after a while, it got dull, and then everyone began to hate each other.

Keep in mind, of course, I knew none of these people personally, and none of my friends played/wanted to play WoW. And I didn't like the people I did know who played WoW.

new equipments and skills,

Again, going back to the "grind dungeons a dozen times until you finally get ONE piece of equipment that you want".

Oh, and don't forget the loads of fun you could have chilling out in the Auction House towards the end of the bidding process for a piece of equipment you really wanted, just so you could make sure you had the highest bid.

new summonings,

Yeah, unless of course you're playing a non-magic class. Which I was. In both of my characters.

the PvP neutral areas and battlegrounds (very much awesome), and so on.

I played the Battlegrounds. I never cared for them. As for PvP, I made a brief foray into that. Yeah, it was SO awesome the several times a week I got ganked by high level players who liked to be douchebags to the low levels.

It's mostly about going around with friends as you level up and do your game. Completin' missions, PvP'ing around, or even hanging around discovering new flight points or anything of the same kind of randomness.

Which pretty much goes back to "none of my friends played this, and I hated everyone in my guild".

Apparently, 1 in 6 people in the world are Chinese. And there are 6 people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mom or my dad. Or my younger sister Hannah. Or my younger brother Lucas. Or my older brother Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Lucas.

I'm sorry, but Alliance characters have better asses to look at then the horde.

Also, I'm on vent and can now here your lovely voices (and sometimes speak)
Going back to this...

Blood Elves are way hotter than anything else in that game.

Horde wins.

Well, I did care. It was somewhat entertaining. And I also did several of them at once, but I never "forgot why I was doing it".

Yeah...so? I was in one of those "social" guilds, and never even played with one of them. Usually I would go on the questin' line, find someone who is, for instance, killing the same boars I need to kill. I would talk to him and make a group invitation. After we went our separate ways we would add each other to the Friend List. So, if our levels are still remotely alike we would go questin' again if we happened to stumble on each other on a "new area of the world".

No.

Never really cared for going through instances ten times 'till I would get some random equipment I would have to replace for another piece I would get from another ten-fold run fruiin another dungeon. I just used the AH to sell mining fruits and other things I can't remember of rght now.

Then you didn't have that piece of enjoyment. Not that it alone can keep you goin' through WoW, but it's a nice addendun.

Eh. I liked the Battlegrounds. Oh well, being ganked is part of the play. You can walk in packs of three and take on people doing quests or hope to see someone from the other faction walking by as you quest yourself.

But yes, these high-level shitbags are indeed a pain. I still remember when two Alliance 80's took over Grom'gol Base Camp while at least two dozens of us, Lvl 40's, were locked out until they got bored and went away.

Which brings me back to "why couldn't you just make friends with people doing the same quests you are?" If not my two cousins, those were all that was in my Social List. 'Tis how I got through chains are areas much easier, and an ulimited supply of mana potions for my Warlock.

Also, amen to that. Blood Elves are the "hottest"!

No my friend. Oh no my misguided friend,

Draenei.

They actually have shape. End of discussion.

Also, Lukas, you must play a rogue, you seem like a rogue, or a hunter.

Actually, no.

I hate these "light" classes. I'm more of a Paladin. Or a Warrior.

Though my first one was a Warlock. It really made the Battlegrounds enjoyable for me.

Yeah, I did do that. But just because they're on my Friend's List, it doesn't necessarily mean that they're my friend, or that we really have any sort of interaction other than that we happen to be playing the same game. I had a ton of people on my Friend's List, but chances were after we went our separate ways, we'd never really speak again. I'd send them a message saying "What's up?', they'd never respond. Tended to be the status quo.

If any of my, y'know, actual friends who I talk to and see on a regular basis played the game, I might have been a little more interested in the game. But they didn't. So I quickly lost interest with the whole, "I hate my guild, and everyone I meet in pickup groups are dickheads" thing.

EDIT: Also, why are we talking about WoW in the Vent topic? Should we make a separate topic for this?

Well, it goes like this. 90% MMORPG players are addicted sons of bitches. From the remaining 10% you can deduct the ones who leave at early levels because of the other 90%, or for other random reasons, such as the monthly fee and so on.

Even though most of the times I would team up with a WoW drone who would barely talk to me and not say anything that was not game-related, I would still have fun just for not questing solo. I happen to like WoW the questin' team work. Though, most of the times I would be playing with my cousins anyways. Funny also, when I would go to a dungeon, the groups I would land in were usually quite nice and talkative. Go figure...

Well, it's not the first time WoW took over a topic... No need to create one, just pick the ones that were agressively taken over by Warcraft talk.

So basically what you're saying is people can throw together really crappy typical MMO's and you'll play them.

If I would start playing with actual friends, I would consider it. Reason I first got to WoW was because my cousins invited me anyway.
