Welcome to the Jello Anarchy forums! Before you start posting, the administration would appreciate it if you would read and follow the following guidelines to ensure a friendly atmosphere on the forums. As a member of this board, you agree to the Terms of Service set down by InvisionFree/Zetaboards. In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), you must be at least 13 years of age to use this system. Users acknowledge and agree that the use of Jello Anarchy is a privilege, not a right, and that the administration has the right to revoke this privilege at any time without notice should the administration deem it necessary. User agrees that this agreement applies to both private messages and public posts. Forum-Wide Guidelines In general we will leave it to you, the community, to police yourselves. Treat others with respect. Remember that many people spanning all walks of life read this venue. 1. All posts should be constructive and on-topic. Please make every attempt to post your message in the relevant section. Off-topic and duplicate posts may be moved or removed. 2. Please understand that flaming, harassment or abuse directed towards anyone will not be tolerated. We may take action against posts and/or topics that could cause unrest in the community beyond a civil and polite disagreement. We reserve the right to ban any member who violates our guidelines or disrupts our community. We will be fair and provide warning in most cases. 3. Jello Anarchy follows its own social rules that do not involve e-relationships, master/padawan training teams, and some other behaviors acceptable on other message boards. We also ask our members not to use excessively formatted text, not to abuse font colors and to keep fonts to a reasonable size that are easy to read. The best way to get a feel for forum decorum is to spend some time and learn how the forum works before posting. 4. Please use discretion when posting images. Many of these boards are viewable to unregistered users. If you plan to post more than one image, or the topic is based on graphics, please link the images rather than screening. 5. Signatures may NOT contain images. 6. Users may NOT have animated avatars. 7. Sock Puppet accounts will not be allowed. A sock puppet is an account made on an internet message board by a person who already has an account for the purpose of posting anonymously or maliciously. Exceptions are known family members sharing the same connection, game use, or pre-approved writing or work safe socks. Posts from known sock puppet accounts will be deleted and both the puppet and actual account may be banned from using the services of Jello Anarchy. 8. Messages containing phone numbers, street addresses, or post office boxes should not be posted on the public forums and will be edited. 9. The administration reserves the right to edit or remove any images, posts or topics at our sole discretion. Violation of any of these rules will result in consequences determined on a case-by-case basis. If you have an issue with a specific post/topic on this board, please use the ‘report a post’ link in the post. We will review the post and edit/delete if necessary. The Writing Community Our primary fandom is Star Wars, but we accept writings from all fandoms and genres, including both same and opposite sex themes, as well as original works. The forums are also an open and free place to discuss various writing topics, offer support and issue fun challenges. Access to story forums requires community participation. Members are encouraged to start author’s links threads and link to off board stories instead. Private Story Forums—The exception to this is an author's private story forum. These forums can be created on request of Cheshire Cat. The forum will be private but authors can choose to allow members to join the forum (all stories must be family friendly) or in the case of higher rated stories, authors must accept or deny membership (all members must be at least 18 to get access). Within author's private forums, authors my repost stories from other communities. RATINGS General: Stories may contain up to but not exceed moderate, non-explicit violence and moderate coarse language. May contain innuendo and suggestive sexuality. May contain disturbing themes, but not graphic. Mature: Appropriate only for mature adults eighteen and older. May contain explicit sexuality, disturbing themes, coarse language and violence. CRITICISM 1. Helpful Criticism – Pointing out a formatting error, the accidental use of a wrong name or other small, mistakes are welcome within reason. 2. Constructive Criticism – Whether to receive it or not is left the individual author's discretion. 3. Characterization/Pairing Criticism – As everyone sees the characters differently, it goes that people will write them differently. If you do not like an author's characterization of a particular character or a particular pairing, do not read the story. Attacking the author or the characterization/pairing in a story will not be tolerated. General characterization discussions should go to the appropriate discussion threads. 4. Plagiarism – Passing off another author's work as your own, either in part or whole will result in a ban. This includes but is not limited to closely basing a story on another author's work and not offering appropriate credit. You can post your questions to the Communications and Information forum and they will be answered as quickly as possible or PM any questions or concerns to Cheshire Cat, Jaira, Perky McSkittles. Same sex relationship talk and fiction is welcome, but not the focus of these boards, so please keep in mind the board rules and be respectful of other members as not everyone enjoys such discussions.
