This is finally my day to stay home. I'm not sure where it's written that the kids must be taken on an outing every day of chol hamoed :help , but it's a minhag I can't seem to break.
We've also reached the point where it's impossible to find something everyone wants to do. This year, we split up and found different things to do.
Tuesday, my mother and I took the girls shopping in manhattan while my father took ds to the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Excellent trip for an older boy, especially one like my son who is heavily into WW2.
Wednesday we all went to the Jewish Childrens Museum. loved it.
Thursday we split up again. My father took ds and oldest dd to Madame Tussaud's, and my mother and I took the younger dd's to The American Girl store (dream trip for preschool through school age girls). Last night I took 2 of my kids to the Miami Boys Choir. Very loud, but fun.
And today I cook.
