I have everything seperate for pesach so all I need to do is the oven/stove and the sink. Counters are not kosherable so I will cover them.

I use a lot of disposables Pesah time, but we kasher meaty utensils, as we don't really enjoy eating with disposables.

We also kasher glasses, kidush cups, oven/ stove & sink.

I treated myself to a small food processor 2 yrs ago, and have some baking ware.

I just didn't have the room to keep everything seperate. Last year I kashered out most of my kitchen (covering the counters and sinks and leaving baking items chometz). In the end, though, I had a sparkling clean kitchen.

This year I have a reconditioned cupboard for my Pesach dishes so I don't have to do as much work. Still, I'm kashering my burners and parve oven (I have seperate meat and milk ones for both Pesach and chometz), the meat/milk/parve pots and pans, the silverware and maybe some of my serving dishes. I'll be covering the counters and sinks like usual.

Next year....I hope to have a new kitchen just in time for Pesach!

we are cool with disposable plates and silverware. I have NO desire to wash. What I did to have a bunch of stuff to start with was that I kept a bunch of my wedding presents for pesach. During the year I honestly don't use a food processer so I kept it pesadick. I use it a ton for pesach! Also the pyrex I got and some other things. Each year I get one or two different things to add to my collection. This last year it was a HUGE soup pot! Oh do I love my pot! This year I want an immersion blender cause I make lots of zucchini soup for Tev and for myself. Also need a new crock pot for pesach. When we first got married I bought dh for his birthday a pesach kiddush cup since his birthday is right before pesach. Than I got a bunch of the $3 ones for otherwise. Glasses- well we drink out of plastic as is. Pots we got two sets for the wedding and since both dh and I had milchic ones I kept the really nice ones for fleish and the other set I kept for pesach- not the best pots but they work!

you left out tablecloths and dishtowels. kashering is no big deal--just wash in hot water and detergent. I wash all my tablecloths even though some of them don't get used at all from one year to the next. i should keep track of which ones i used or didn't use, but i don't.

if martha stewart were jewish, she'd have a spiffy tip about having little slips of paper labeled "kashered for pesach" which you slip inside the bag in which you store your tablecloth, or attach with a clothespin. then when you use the cloth the first time, you throw out the paper. hmmm...it's a thought.

It didn't even occure to me to include these, b/c it's so easy - in & out of the washing machine.

The oterh stuff you have to wash very well, check, re-wash & check again??, wait 24 hrs, kasher

Do you have to wait 24 hours before self cleaning the stove? I was planning to do it on Motzai shabbat. But it stays on most of shabbat....

LOL

Yes - and they would be color coded for meat and dairy (which actually isn't that unusual). Honestly, I think that woman would do very well in a pesachdika kitchen as she is such a perfectionist and pays attention to detail.
