I don't make dairy for pesach. i wouldn't honestly know what to do with it! The kids and my husband will eat yogurt and cheese though for breakfast. Personally I love fleish so the thought of meatballs for breakfast sounds good to me!

say, doesn't anyone else do the hardboiled-egg-in-saltwater thing any more? I couldn't possibly have married into the only other family on the planet besides my own that does this. ( I once spent Pesach on a kibbutz that did, so i know SOMEONE out there must.)

we do! Before we eat anything else I serve everyone a hardboiled egg in a salt water bath. Since Tev won't be up we will for sure do it again this year. When Tev can stay up depending on his allergy will depend on if we can.

for us we found meat is cheaper than dairy and fish.

if you buy frozen (some brands) or in a not Jewish store, you can get a real deal.
We used to buy whole frozen salmon for 99c/lb - but that store went out of business a looong time ago.

Re: the egg in slat water: I'm not even sure anymore - have been running after kids the past few years, so could have missed it.
I know the hostess does 4 sure, don't think the host does. Some of their kids (married & single) do.

Not sure what our minhag is.

we do the egg and salt water also. and sometimes you can find frozen salmon at walmart. and in the middle of nowhere (like on vacation and on the way to camp) when we've stopped in walmart they have a huge kosher section - gefilte fish, yahrtzeit candles, noodles, and all the other necessities jews need no matter where they are.

We do the egg in salt water thing too, but I never thought of it as part of the menu.
