Today Zusha insisted on wearing certain clothes - for the first time! He never cared before. But today he HAD to wear his warm coat, even though it was 60 degrees. I told him if he wants to go outside, he has to wear the jacket. He listened bec. he loves to go out. Then when he came home, I changed him to a romper with short sleeves and legs, since it was very warm. He thought there were no pants, since it was short, and insisted on overalls. I offered thin cotton pants, but he threw a tantrum, and only wanted the overalls. *sigh* What can I do? At least his first self-chosen outfit actually matched! |

My 3 year old's mitzvah note for nursery school often states "Eliana dressed herself this morning all by herself, and even picked out her own clothes without any help!" I hope the teachers can read between the lines. |

My 3 year old was insisting this morning on wearing overalls. he has one pair that I got over a year ago for him, that don't reallly fit him. :(. I personally don't think 3 year olds look particularly good in overalls, and it makes bathroom trips a slight nightmare. :( Somehow, I managed to convince him out of it. I'd love to just throw them out, but he'll have the constant "in his face" that his little brother is still wearing overalls and shortalls all the time. I'm thinking of buying him a pair of train conductor overalls so he can play dress up sometimes with thiem, that wouldn't be too bad. |
