We se Similac Advance (OU-Pareve) bcz the hospital told us that he did better with the soy than the dairy. We're stil at the stage where we're using the ready-o-use liquid (don't add water) but will probably switch to powder in a couple of weeks.

Alimentum. Not kosher but it's all that Hallie could tolerate.

we changed brands since i last posted.

i give my dd maybe 3 bottles a month since i am nursing so i was only using a bit out of the container and hte rest had to be dumped (only good for a month). i was telling a friend that they should make them in "hot chocolate packets" and she told me in the US they do!
i bought 3 boxes of enfamil lipil single serve packets - it is the best thing!

I'm having major issues right now. Shimon moshe started on neosure for 7 months due to prematurity. Now it's time to switch. I put him on materna as it's the cheapest - I can get a case of 12 for $90.00, which would last me amonth. He HATES it. He's been crying non stop for a week. I tried the Mehadrin similac, he loves it, but it's terrible expensive and terribly inconvenient (it only comes in ready to feed so it has to be warmed each time as it's refrigerated once opened and he is impatient at night fo rhis bottles). the cheapest is $30 a case (of six) and my dh has to pick it up from Mehadrin. A case lasts five days. I'd pay $150 a month. It's exorbitant. I just dont know what to do. I know he'll be happier on similac but cant afford it and it's so hard to warm it every time. bu the's been crying non stop all week. I'm so stuck.

Why don't you ask a shaylah of what to do from your rav? I mean using the non chalov yisroel one. I know that I bought a case from amazon for $99 and the cans are huge.

Today for the first time, I saw the cholov Yisroel Similac on one of the stores by me.

Neosure is not even an option anymore - he's too fat KE"H! And i wont give non cholov yisroel anymore. It's not a teritz that it's 'expensive'. If we keep c"y, that includes our baby. Neosure was an exception, he needed it, but now he can go on C"Y already.

I think he's crying cuz he's teething. We'll see how pesach goes.

Now it's time to switch.

why?

neosure is a high calorie formula and SM is kE"H a BUSTER, he doesnt need high calorie anymore at 7 1/2 months. WIC wont pay for it anymore either unless my dr requests it.

here's my fatso :)

oops! You're right. It's Isomil Advance with Iron. And for Pesach we have been using both the cans of concentrate, and the ready-to-use liquid.

Oy! on keeping the bottles away from Pesach-dik adult food. Gotta love the soy!
