And neither does Gedalya. Did anyone try Mylicon on their kid(s)? Does it work? And how?

ask your mother about 'ukropnaya vodichka' - dill water.

Yes, and chamomile tea, etc. All nice, but is it for GAS or colic/ stomach pain?
I heard mylicon is natural and is safe to take whenever. I'm thinking to get it.

chamomile is not dill, and dill is not chamomile.
I know NOTHING about Mylicon, but all bubbies swear by the dill water.

Camomile is good for anything stomach for babies and adults. The thing is if the gas needs to come out, it will. It won't go away. We use it a lot and it usually makes you get rid of what is causing the discomfort, be it gas or whatever.

I second the gripe water suggestion! (and I am not English!) Mylicon sometimes helps, but only with minor gas, not the major screaming pain gas. Poor baby.

Mylicon didn't help my baby at all. I asked PED. about it, and she said it won't hurt, but won't help either.

thanks, lilac! What does the active ingredient do? Simethicone- what is it? Maybe I'll look it up.

Mylicon is my friend :) I use it regularly before most feedings with Gavriel and it seems to work for him. He still gets somewhat gassy but bli ayin hara i've never had a severe gassy problem with him. Whenever he's crying alot, I give him mylicon and he's stops crying straight away. DUnno if it really does anything medically, but Gav seems to like it.

As for gripe water, definately worth trying, but be careful which brand you get - if you can get it from england it's better - dont remember exactly but i read somewhere recently that some gripe water is not good (something to do with it being alcoholic...) sorry can't help more.

I remember what I did if he cried a lot and nothing I would do helped, I would put a tip of thermometer in his butt just a little bit (with vaseline on it), and that really let all the gas out and baby calmed down immediately.
