I am laughing here!

My son learnt to stand to do a wee in the toilet because in nursery that is what they teach the boys to do which is great and i already had a little stool for the toilet for him to stand on.
As for potty thing, he used the potty for a bit. Sometimes now still asks to go on the potty but i say no (unless someone else is using the toilet at the time).
Maybe you can pad up the potty with some soft gauze or something. Also you can get potties with handles on if he just wants support.
