That's why I recommend a sling, not a bjorn. Slings, and other soft (unstructered) carriers, like wraps, mei tei, etc, can be used comfortably in both a front and BACK carry. A newborn can be put on your back in a sling until around 4 months. After that, you shouldn't put them in a sling on your back until around 14 months, but you can use other carriers for back carries, incliding Mei Teis, wraps, and a few others. For more information, see www.thebabywearer.com As for jumping up with your kid...well, don't jump any more than you would if you were holding the baby in arms.. And for crouching...again, a back-carry would solve that problem. |
